steer clear of this company!

I wanted to love my Ride1Up bike, but the ownership experience has been incredibly disappointing. The biggest issue is the warranty process, which feels intentionally evasive and designed to avoid actually helping customers. When problems came up, getting a straight answer was nearly impossible. Support repeatedly delayed responses, shifted blame, and made the process far more difficult than it needed to be.
Customer service was also surprisingly hostile. Instead of feeling like they wanted to solve the issue, every interaction felt defensive and dismissive. The owner of the company ignored me when I asked could he help get eyes on my issue (he sarcastically asked did I expect him to deal with my issue himself when he finally did acknowledge me), but then tried to assault my character when I gave someone pondering a purchase my unfiltered review.
Asking basic warranty questions turned into arguments, and I was often made to feel like I was the problem for expecting support on a product that was still under warranty.
What’s especially frustrating is that the warranty is essentially “parts only,” which isn’t made clear enough upfront. Even when Ride1Up agrees something is covered, the customer is often left paying labor costs, troubleshooting themselves (sometimes with needing to purchase a specialty tool to do the job), or finding a shop willing to do the repairs. For an e-bike — where repairs can be specialized and expensive — that’s a major downside.
The bike itself may look like a good value initially, but the poor support experience completely changes the equation. I would strongly caution anyone considering Ride1Up to look carefully at the warranty limitations and think about how much post-sale support matters before buying.

The amount of issues I've had with the bicycle in less than a year would entitle me to lemon law protections if this was an automobile.

I am very impressed with my Roadster!

I am very impressed with my Roadster V3. It is exactly what I was looking for in an Ebike. I like that it does not look like an Ebike. I had a fat tire Ebike and did not like dealing with the weight of the bike and the confusion of wires around the handlebars. I always ended up riding my analog bike, but I often needed some extra oomph. My Roadster V3 weighs half as much and pedals very easily. In fact I pedal most of the time and add the motor when necessary. The torque sensor is very smooth easing in the motor. This bike is high quality and is an excellent value. I am also impressed with the Ride 1UP support. My bike arrived with a bent derailleur bracket. They returned my email very quickly and immediately sent me a new bracket. Support service also reimbursed be for the installation cost at a local bike shop. I have no regrets on my purchase.

I am in my 70’s (old fart) and took my time researching e-bikes as I wanted one that was lightweight, easy to use (understand and utilizing the torque assist) and enjoyable. Price was a Big objective, as well. Clearly, Ride1Up met all my criteria. Not only that, it’s meeting and “exceeding” all I ever wanted.

Love my bike!

This is my first eBike and will probably last me for as long as I plan to ride. I love this bike! It is easy to use, has plenty of speed and looks great while not shouting "I am an eBike". It allows me to keep enjoying getting out on a ride with friends.

Ride1up Roadster V3 - chain/front suspension

I am a male rider at 6’1”/225 lbs having purchased the large frame Roadster V3 with chain and front suspension a few weeks ago. I have ridden the bike almost every day between 15 and 30 miles per ride. I am very pleased with the bike, the exercise and Ride1up as a company.

Stealth Factor
The bike looks and feels like a non-electric bike, which seems to get more waves from runners and bikers than I do riding bulkier e-bikes. It fits nicely in any public bike rack I have used and doesn’t stand out as an electric bike.

Power
I live in an area with many hills and varying road surfaces including paved, gravel and some light single-track paths. I typically ride in eco mode but enjoy higher modes when ascending steep hills or riding into strong winds. I can reach advertised top speeds in each class setting. The highest gear is perfect for top speeds; never experiencing ghost pedaling. The battery, surprisingly, lasts as long as I physically can while averaging speeds between 13-20 mph.

Weight
The bike exceeded my expectations with its ~40lbs weight, nimble handling and adjustable seat and stem ride positions. The bike responds very well to power from pedaling because of its light weight and geometry. It is also easy to lift onto a hitch mounted bike carrier or articulate in tight spaces lifting one or two wheels off the ground.

Adjustments
During the first week of riding, the rear spokes developed a kind of creaking noise which I assumed was due to stretching spokes with my higher weight. I adjusted spoke tension over a couple of rides and the noise is gone. I also had to smooth out shifting by tweaking the barrel adjustor – out of box high and low settings were fine. Lastly, I added a different saddle and suspension seatpost. All adjustments above are typical for me with new bikes.

The installation was moderate to… difficult

The installation was moderate to difficult in aligning the brakes. I do have a wobble in my back tire. This was corrected with spoke adjustment. I've had experience with such adjustments even if a tuning fork may not be a conventional method. Yet, I only needed the slightest adustments. When installing the motor on the wheel, I would suggest a QA checkpoint with the spin on one of those things that test the balance. Bike is beautifully designed for simplicity. The size large for a 6'2" guy is even larger than expected and may just be getting old at 60 but find pulling my leg over difficulty. I'd keep this size large as designed. I just never had a bike actually fit my limit. Good. The overall assist is very good. In rare cases, the engine won't engage on a slight incline. I'm trying to figure out this condition given rarity. I had three copenhaggen wheels with superb acceleration and braking with the motor and rate this bike alongside the performance.

An incredible journey so far!

Having ridden this bike for a month and hundreds of miles on and off road, and talking to customer service a couple times (they actually pick up the phone), I must say that this revv1 drt is an amazing value and a joy to ride! I’m dreading having to fix a flat one day, and only time will tell how she fares over the long haul, but so far no complaints!

Nice e-bike for daily riding

I like this bike very much — in fact, I now own two of them.

The motor is exceptionally quiet and delivers smooth, natural-feeling power. I typically cruise around 15–20 mph and now use the bike for many local trips where I previously would have taken a car, such as going to a coffee shop or doctor’s office. The combination of the mid-drive motor and Enviolo CVT creates a very responsive pedal-assist experience that feels intuitive rather than artificial. To smooth out the ride even more, I added a RedShift seat post to it which makes it even more comfortable to ride over longer distances.

One feature I especially appreciate is the display information. It shows both how much power I’m contributing and how much the motor is contributing, which I find surprisingly insightful while riding. The estimated remaining battery range is also useful because it helps me decide which assist level I can comfortably use to complete a trip.

The included cargo rack is another strong point. It feels sturdy and well integrated into the bike, and I regularly use it to secure a small backpack for errands and daily travel.

There are a few quirks, though. The integrated bike light cannot actually be turned off, even though the display has what appears to be a light-control button. Also, if the bike is powered off and then plugged in to charge, the light comes back on automatically, which means I often have to manually shut the bike down again afterward. The rubber cover over the charging receptacle is also somewhat awkward to close properly, and I frequently find myself leaving it partially open.

Overall, though, the riding experience, smooth power delivery, quiet motor, and practical utility far outweigh those annoyances. It’s a bike I genuinely enjoy riding and use often enough that I ended up buying a second one.

Great communication

Great communication. The Vorsa ebike is as advertised. Rides quite well on gravel roads. I have the touring seat package with the suspension seat post and it makes a big difference. I also have the large basket on the rear rack and is very handy. The bike is very stable when going slow or fast. So far I would recommend it for anyone wanting a versatile bike that does most things well.

Great--once you find 3rd party resources

Ride1Up needs to provide better introduction videos to e-biking in general and their bike models in particular. Once I went to YouTube to watch other people's clips on using the Prodigy V2 and shifting a mid-drive bike, etc., the bike was exponentially more enjoyable. I now consider it one of the best purchases I've ever made. I get some much non-draining exercise and have traveled over so much of my Maine countryside. It's a terrific, high-quality bike. The battery compartment cover is a bit of a headache but, for the most part, the Prodigy is practically perfect.

Excellent performance & customer support

Like everyone else here, I researched just about every bike there is. The look, customer reviews, and the hope for excellent customer service convinced me to pull the trigger. I’m really glad I did, because it’s great. The DRT is amazing off-road and they got the suspension perfect. I had one question while I was assembling it, and and when I called, a guy in California picked up on the first ring and talked me through it. To me, that’s worth everything. I’ve put about 80 miles on it in the past couple weeks, with about half of that being off-road on some pretty rutted out trails and a bit of mud. It really has been great and I’m really glad I made this choice.

My prodigy v2 came with multiple issues

My prodigy v2 came with a bent stem, as well as a damaged fork where all the oil leaked out, possibly contaminating the brake pads and rotor. When contacting customer service, apparently they don't have any original parts in stock, I dont mind so much for the stem after market part, but offering a fork that is 50mm more travel than the original seems irresponsible. This isn't safe for the bike and the rider. No acknowledgement on their side when I asked about brake pad/rotor contamination. We have been going back and forth via email for over 2 weeks now. All I am looking for are proper replacement parts or a full exchange for a new bike. Hopefully I can get this resolved.

Purchased a Roadster V3 bike

Purchased a Roadster V3 bike. When it arrived and was unboxed there were several problems. Worked with the tech staff to fix some mechanical problems. The front brakes were scraping and grinding. Ride1up said to watch a video on fixing brakes and continue riding to see if problem would correct itself. The problem persisted and Ride1up said I would have to pay a bike shop to fix the brakes since they had no record of me notifying them within 30 days of receiving the bike. In other words, the company shipped me a bike with mechanical problems and said I would have to pay for the repairs. Unbelievable!! Beware!!
