Twisted Tower – Redefining What’s Possible With Glass 🏙️ Our Twisted Tower model demonstrates the outstanding design freedom enabled by our high-performance products #Ködispace #4SG (Reactive Thermoplastic Spacer) and Ködiglaze S (Structural Glazing Silicone). Flat insulating glass units were cold-bent and structurally bonded without any mechanical fixing or any dead load support to a twisted steel frame measuring 800 mm × 800 mm at the base and 3000 mm in height. The 18° twist of the frame results in an impressive 166 mm lateral corner displacement. ✨ Thanks to the exceptional flexibility and gas-tightness of Ködispace 4SG, bending forces are significantly reduced while maintaining durability and performance. The University of Victoria’s National Centre for Indigenous Laws is a first-of-its-kind building. It carries a lot of meaning, and it’s been designed to last. So the glass had to do the same. We used Reactive TPS® on this project. It’s a different way of building IGUs. Instead of stacking multiple components at the edge, spacer bar, desiccant, primary seal, Reactive TPS® does it all in one continuous, automated application directly onto the glass. Why does that matter? Because most failures happen at the edge. That’s where gas escapes, performance drops, and problems start showing up years later. Reactive TPS® reduces those weak points. It gives you a more consistent seal, better gas retention, and long-term thermal performance you can actually count on. Plus, it looks cleaner, no visible metal line cutting through the unit.
