Following Reed Smith’s afternoon presentation, members of the Wilmington Trust team were transported via private shuttle from the Hotel Du Pont to the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library for a thoughtfully curated experience. Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with champagne before enjoying a scenic drive through Winterthur’s gardens en route to the historic Winterthur Mansion. The setting immediately set a tone of warmth and elegance for an evening centered on connection, hospitality, and attention to detail. Inside Winterthur Mansion’s Charleston-Bowers Suite, guests were greeted with passed hors d’oeuvres and the soft, inviting sound of a live harpist, creating an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere. The cocktail reception featured a raw bar, farm stand display, and a custom ice sculpture showcasing both Wilmington Trust and Reed Smith, highlighting the strength of the partnership. The evening continued with a seated dinner, during which a local historian shared insights into Winterthur’s unique connection to Wilmington Trust. The program concluded with remarks and a toast to the Reed Smith – Wilmington Trust partnership, and to Kurt Gwynne for his mentorship and friendship, from Jason Angelo, creating a memorable closing moment. Guests departed with curated gifts, including locally produced honey from Winterthur’s hives and a commemorative ornament, before returning to the Hotel Du Pont, bringing a memorable and seamless evening to a close.
