World‑first: Real‑time 4D borehole imaging with zero mud‑pulse limitations. A joint project between Aker BP, NOV Downhole Broadband Solutions, and Well ID has delivered an industry‑first milestone: high‑resolution borehole images and caliper data transmitted instantly to surface by integrating Well ID’s 4D Caliper Borehole Imaging Tool into the wired drill pipe system above the BHA. Powered by our downhole broadband network, the operation enabled: • Real‑time, high‑definition imaging and caliper data • Immediate visibility of dynamic wellbore conditions • Memory‑quality data streamed without bandwidth constraints This capability marks a step change in wellbore visualization and management, supporting earlier instability detection, better drilling and tripping decisions, reduced NPT, and improved wellbore quality.
