One of the biggest barriers to AI adoption is not the technology itself - it’s uncertainty around change. Across industries, organizations are still trying to understand how to move from experimentation to meaningful business impact while helping teams adapt to a rapidly evolving technology landscape. At CERAWeek, I had the opportunity to discuss what it takes to make AI transformation practical and scalable. From talent development and data readiness to accelerating AI deployment timelines, we also explored why ecosystem collaboration across technology, cloud, and infrastructure partners is becoming increasingly critical as organizations look to scale AI initiatives effectively and responsibly. Fear. Data. Bold leadership. These are the three barriers standing between energy companies and meaningful AI transformation, and they're all solvable. At CERAWeek, SoftServe's Executive Vice President discussed what it really takes to lead through AI disruption. The conversation cuts to the heart of what we're seeing across the industry: organizations paralyzed by too many choices, data that isn't AI-ready yet, and a critical shortage of leaders willing to plant oak trees instead of a thousand flowers. The good news? None of these barriers are insurmountable. With the right partners, the right approach, and the courage to take that first step, transformation is within reach. 👉 Watch the full interview to hear how SoftServe is helping both buyers and builders navigate the AI era

Volatility is not the enemy. Unpreparedness is. And right now, the energy industry's single greatest source of unpreparedness is not geopolitical. It's not technological. It's not even financial. It's structural. It's the way energy projects are still being developed in silos, against static baselines, optimized for a single metric in a world that has permanently moved on. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁. Market volatility is not a temporary disruption. It is the permanent operating condition of the energy industry. Since 2022, every assumption the industry held as stable price curves, supply routes, policy continuity, grid capacity has been stress-tested simultaneously and found inadequate. Here's the uncomfortable truth: 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸. 𝗜𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. And the risk that was always there hiding inside every energy business case was this: the technical model, the financial model, and the market model were built in separate rooms, by separate teams, against separate assumptions, with no single view of how they interact under real-world conditions. That's not a workflow problem. That's a structural blindspot. And in a volatile world, structural blindspots become existential. For years, "digital transformation" in energy was a layer on top of the system. A software upgrade. An optimization add-on bolted onto the existing workflow. CERAWeek 2026 made it clear: digital and physical are now one operational layer. The grid, the model, and the decision are inseparable. Your decision-making infrastructure has to match the world it's operating in. This is why 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 Gridbrid is the operating system for the energy transition. An advanced optimization algorithm at the centre of project design that unifies technical, financial, and economic modeling for renewable, non-renewable, and storage assets in one platform. Not because unified architecture is elegant. Because when the Strait of Hormuz closes, when a market rule changes overnight, when an offtake counterparty reprices, the companies that can absorb that shock and re-optimize in hours rather than months are not the ones with the biggest teams or the most capital. They're the ones whose models are connected because the answer is different for every market. Every counterparty. Every risk profile. And it changes as conditions change. At Gridbrid we help decision-makers from IPPs to infrastructure investors to utilities across 19 countries navigate the full journey: from what's technically possible, to what's financially feasible, to what is genuinely co-optimal across all three dimensions of the energy trilemma. The old playbook manages the world as it was. Gridbrid is built for the world as it is. And the companies that understand the difference first will capture a decade of competitive advantage. #EnergyTransition #Cleantech

Grateful to see my post-CERAWeek article featured on the CERAWeek website under the inaugural Workforce Strategy theme and the NextGen program. Thank you to Murray F. and the CERAWeek / S&P Global team for the guidance and for creating space around a topic that feels increasingly central across the energy ecosystem – from utilities, renewables, grid modernization, and infrastructure to AI-enabled operations, industrial transformation, and the future of skilled workforce development. The piece argues that Workforce is no longer just an HR or recruiting topic and an execution-capacity question for CEOs, CHROs, operators, and business leaders: how organizations build the people, operating systems, industrial-academic partnerships, and human-in-the-lead AI workflows needed to deliver reliably at scale. I’m especially grateful for the NextGen experience, which gave our student cohort meaningful access to leaders, panels, networking, and conversations spanning industry, policy, technology, academia, and capital allocation. Happy to share that I just completed a project on AI in logistics with Sprint Logistics, LLC and Technical University of Munich together with Tino. The most useful thing I learned wasn't about AI. It was about everything that has to be true before AI matters: clear process ownership, data that actually connects across systems, and an IT department that isn't only there to keep legacy systems alive. Mid-sized companies sit on a lot of data they don't use, not because the tech is missing, but because no one quite owns the question. A lot of this lined up with what we heard at CERAWeek (thanks to Murray for an incredible NextGen experience), where conversations with leaders across energy and consulting kept highlighting the same point: the companies pulling ahead aren't the ones with the best models, they're the ones whose people know what they own. Huge thanks to the Sprint team for opening their operation to us, thanks to Christoph Lütge for the supervision and to Tino for being the best possible partner in that project. And thanks to everybody who took time for us answering our questions. Excited for the next chapter in Munich now.

“What comes next for oil and gas?” At this year’s Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference, Daniel Yergin, Vice Chairman of S&P Global, will discuss one of the most anticipated conversations on the agenda: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗮𝘀 — 𝟱 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵. As geopolitical tensions reshape trade routes, pricing dynamics, supply security, LNG flows, and investment decisions almost overnight, the industry is navigating one of its most consequential periods in recent years. This is precisely why MPGC is convening in London this June. The move from Dubai to London reflects the realities of today’s market environment, bringing together global decision-makers, traders, refiners, producers, and strategists at a time when clarity, access, and real-time market intelligence matter more than ever. In a market defined by volatility and rapid change, this session will help frame the conversations industry leaders need to be having now.
