Troy brings a wealth of experience in technical and adviser-facing roles, most recently as National Manager, Technical Services at Insignia Financial, and prior to that at ANZ/OnePath.  In this newly created role, Troy will lead technical education initiatives across webinars, professional development sessions and industry events, while also providing guidance on complex client matters involving superannuation and retirement strategies. We are thrilled to announce that TelstraSuper and Aware Super have successfully completed their merger. By combining two of Australia’s leading retirement specialists, we are setting a new standard in retirement outcomes. 85,000 TelstraSuper members have joined Aware Super to create a superannuation fund with approximately 1.3 million members and over $235 billion in funds under management. Our CEO Deanne Stewart warmly welcomed members of Telstra Super. “This merger is a significant achievement in the history of Aware Super and TelstraSuper and enables members to benefit from the deep retirement and advice capabilities of both organisations, greater scale and enhanced member outcomes.” Ms Stewart said the fact that the merger had been achieved in only 9 months spoke to the alignment of values and strong execution capabilities of both funds. “Our sincere thanks to the Board and Executive of TelstraSuper for their dedication to their members and to making the merger a success,” she said. Big news 📣 When advisers spend less time on paperwork, they have more time to focus on what really matters - giving advice. Aware Super has been recognised as an Adviser‑Ready Fund under the new national framework from the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) and Chant West. The accreditation recognises the simple, practical systems we’ve built to support independent advisers in real‑world advice delivery - from smoother transactions and digital authorisations to better access to client information and dedicated adviser support. The impact is real. The number of members supported by independent advisers through Aware Super has almost doubled since June 2024. We’re a little chuffed to be one of only three profit‑to‑member funds to receive the accreditation. But the real win is helping advisers spend less time on process and more time delivering advice.
