Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Amy Hepburn, CEO of the Investor Leadership Network (ILN), at our Melbourne office for a series of discussions with Future Fund colleagues and external peers. Amy shared insights across a number of key topics affecting the investment landscape and offered a preview of ILN’s upcoming whitepaper on harnessing AI and talent intelligence. ILN is a CEO‑led coalition of the world’s leading institutional investors, focused on practical collaboration on shared challenges including climate transition, public‑private capital mobilisation, and future capability. As CEO, Amy leads ILN’s long‑term strategy and represents the network in engagement with global stakeholders across markets. Our ILN membership provides a valuable platform to exchange insights and diverse perspectives on challenges facing long-horizon investors. Sharing these experiences with our industry peers last week proved especially meaningful, as it fostered thoughtful discussions and deeper understanding of the complex issues shaping our sector. #futurefund #investing #sovereignwealthfund #fundsmanagement #AI

Today we are marking 20 years of investing at the Future Fund, a significant milestone for Australia’s sovereign wealth fund. On this day in 2006, initial seed capital of $18 billion was transferred to the Future Fund so investing could begin. Eight further contributions followed, totalling $60.5 billion. From that original seed funding, the Future Fund has grown to $269.1 billion. Over the same period, the Future Fund Management Agency has evolved from managing a single fund with a single purpose to overseeing seven special‑purpose public asset funds, now valued at $337.2 billion – all focused on delivering long‑term value for Australians today and into the future. The people pictured here reflect that journey, bringing together colleagues who have been part of the Future Fund since its earliest days alongside those who have joined more recently. Their shared presence underscores how the Future Fund continues to evolve, grounded in experience and shaped by new perspectives. A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to our journey over the past 20 years. #futurefund #investing #sovereignwealthfund #fundsmanagement
