Impresa Awards 2023 | Open call for Applications

We are announcing the launch of the Impresa Awards, a prestigious recognition of entrepreneurial and managerial excellence achieved by Indo-Italian companies in the areas of innovation, sustainability, and community building. The awarding ceremony for the Impresa Awards 2023 will take place at the St. Regis Hotel in Mumbai on Thursday 14th September. This is an incredible opportunity to gain recognition and highlight your contribution to Indo-Italian relations.

IICCI PAST ACTIVITIES

Institutional Roadshow in Italy | 11th to 15th June 2023 | Rome and Milan

Our delegation had an eventful visit to Italy, starting in Milan with engaging round table discussions at ITMA, focusing on business opportunities in the Indian textile and garment sector. We then proceeded to an insightful round table on "Make in India - Opportunities and Incentives in the Manufacturing Sector" at Gianni & Origoni. On the following day, we had an engaging discussion at Gianni & Origoni on "Italy as an Investment Destination for Indian Companies," highlighting greenfield and brownfield investment opportunities, incentives, and facilities for Indian investors. The delegation later moved to Rome, where we held a round table on “Italian Know-How for India’s Infra, Energy and Engineering Growth” at  Gianni & Origoni. We were also honored to meet the Ambassador of India in Italy and the Consul General of India in Milan, to present our Chamber and its impactful activities. 

Minerva Project Annual trip to Italy 2023

The business trip was marked by participating in themed workshops, orientation sessions and engaging in discussions with Italian partner universities and institutions, as well as focusing on multi-sectoral education engagement and opportunities with leading Indian institutions and universities. There were engaging 1-1 interactions with enthusiastic Indian students sharing their incredible experiences of their student life in Italy, followed by testifying their orientation sessions. Silvio Berlusconi has died aged 86

Ex premier Silvio Berlusconi died at Milan's San Raffaele hospital on Monday aged 86, sources close to the family have said. His brother Paolo and his children Marina, Eleonora and Barbara are all at the hospital where the leader of Forza Italia was admitted on Friday, reportedly for scheduled tests for his previously undisclosed chronic leukemia.

One consumer advocate group is calling for a weeklong national pasta strike starting June 22 after the Rome government held a crisis meeting last month and decided not to intervene on prices.

Francesco Bagnaia wins Italian MotoGP

Francesco Bagnaia won the Italian MotoGP to extend his lead in the world championship and complete “one of the best weekends of my life” at his Ducati team’s home track in Tuscany. Jorge Martin took second with Johann Zarco completing the all-Ducati podium for the sixth round of the season at Mugello.
