This is what community care looks like💙 At the YMCA of Greater San Francisco, we know that well-being takes many forms. Sometimes, it’s the warmth of a familiar face, a moment of conversation, or the reassurance that you’re not alone. Sometimes, it looks like access to nutritious food. Each week, our food pantries support more than 6,900 people across San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin counties. Since 2020, over 10,000 households have turned to the Y not just for groceries, but for care, connection, and a sense of belonging. As food insecurity continues to rise, this work matters more than ever.
