WSP in the U.S.’s Post

PFAS remediation is evolving from urgent response to long‑term responsibility. By working with nature, planning ahead and rethinking how PFAS show up in our systems and products, we can protect water, safeguard health and rebuild trust for generations to come. In this edition of Future Ready Features, explore how forward-looking remediation is helping protect critical infrastructure and public health. #WeAreWSP #FutureReady

The shift from urgent response to long-term responsibility is a critical one—especially with PFAS and broader water system impacts. What we’re seeing across environmental and infrastructure programs is that successful remediation depends not just on approach, but on having experienced teams in place to manage complexity over time.Important perspective as these challenges move from isolated issues to system-wide priorities.

PFAS remediation is definitely becoming a long-term infrastructure and environmental management challenge. I’ve been involved in remediation projects that included engineered liner and capping systems, and early planning for containment and long-term monitoring can make a major difference in overall site performance.
