Together with Planetary Guardians and The B Team, we are launching a new report on accelerating the transition away from fossil fuels. With seven of nine planetary boundaries already breached and significant public finance still supporting fossil fuels, the current system continues to reinforce planetary and price instability. You don’t tackle a fossil fuel crisis by investing in more fossil fuels. We have to end fossil fuel subsidies and embrace renewable freedom. Renewable Freedom outlines a pathway to redirect finance, scale clean energy and build more resilient and equitable economies. 🔗 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/eCHx4Few #RenewableFreedom #EnergyTransition #ClimateLeadership

Cleaning up how we create electricity is one of the biggest and fastest ways to cut carbon emissions. The faster we get more gigawatts of renewables into the grid, the sooner these benefits can flow to every other sector.
It's Earth Day! This year we celebrate progress through pragmatic solutions. More solar, wind and storage are already strengthening Australia’s grid - cutting costs, reducing emissions and powering future jobs 🌞💨🔋 #EarthDay2026 #OurPowerOurPlanet EARTHDAY.ORG

We need to significantly accelerate wind deployment in Australia. Global growth in renewables is undeniable... but the distribution tells a different story. Of the ~170 GW of wind capacity added last year, around 130 GW came from China alone. Progress is real, but it’s highly concentrated, with the same countries driving the bulk of expansion year after year. If we are serious about the energy transition, this imbalance needs to be addressed. It’s not just about adding capacity globally, it’s about where that capacity is built. #windenergy #renewables

#DidYouKnow: 𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 is more than simply “using cleaner energy”. In the World Energy Council’s Trilemma Framework, this pillar reflects the transition of a country’s energy system towards mitigating and avoiding potential environmental harm and climate change impacts, focusing on efficiency, decarbonisation and air quality. As one of the three #EnergyTrilemma pillars, #energysustainability sits alongside #energysecurity and #energyequity, each contributing to a resilient energy system. Swipe through to see how Sembcorp drives this pillar forward. 👇 🔎 Stay tuned for our next #DemystifyingJargon post as we unpack Energy Equity – the last pillar of the Energy Trilemma. #DrivingEnergyTransition

The U.S. energy landscape is entering a new phase—marked by rising electricity demand, increasing price pressures, and accelerating deployment of clean energy technologies. Insights from the 2026 Sustainable Energy in America Factbook highlight how rapidly the market is evolving, particularly across energy storage, grid infrastructure, and emerging demand drivers such as data centers. As these dynamics reshape the system, the role of long-duration energy storage (LDES) in ensuring reliability and flexibility becomes increasingly critical. This week, Daniel Petcovic, PE from Sumitomo Electric USA will join industry and energy policy experts in Washington, DC as part of #DCClimateWeek, speaking at a panel hosted by the Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) on Thursday, April 23 (2:00–3:30 PM EDT), alongside peers from across the energy industry and policy community. For more details, see BCSE’s post: https://lnkd.in/gAUQPRcU Looking forward to the discussion. #SumitomoElectric #SumitomoElectricUSA #VRFB #FlowBattery #EnergyTransition #LDES #SustainableEnergy #EnergyStorage
Happy DC Climate Week! Looking to expand your knowledge of sustainable energy? Join BCSE this Thursday, April 23 for a deep dive into the findings of the #SustainableEnergy in America #2026Factbook, covering trends in energy efficiency, renewable energy, energy storage, hydrogen, electric vehicles, digitalization, carbon capture and storage, and more. The BCSE team will be joined by energy business leaders, who will share insights on what these trends look like on the ground as their companies deploy sustainable technologies. Energy is evolving quickly and one of the most important questions right now is: how do we meet growing demand while keeping energy affordable and reliable? I’ll be joining Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) today to discuss insights from the 2026 Sustainable Energy in America Factbook and what the data is telling us about where our energy system is headed. I’ll be speaking from the Alliance to Save Energy perspective, focusing on a trend that doesn’t always get enough attention: ➡️ The U.S. economy continues to grow faster than energy use In other words, we’re learning how to do more with the same energy, and that has real implications for affordability, grid reliability, and how we plan for rising demand from things like data centers and advanced manufacturing. If you’re interested in where energy, economics, and system planning intersect, this is a great session to join. 🔗 Register here: https://lnkd.in/dhre4bD4 #DCCW2026 #DCClimateWeek #EnergyEfficiency #EnergyPolicy #EnergyTransition #Factbook
