ILECs are proving that #ngFWA is a faster, more cost-effective way to modernize legacy networks, improve customer experience, and meet aggressive build timelines. For example: - Taylor Telecom hit build targets 2 years ahead of schedule and 30% under budget - CentraCom replaced DSL, reduced churn to fiber-class levels, and met their E-ACAM timing requirements - VTX1 boosted speeds by up to 100x and reduced churn 6x across a large rural footprint Explore these case studies to see how ILECs are doing it, and what it could look like for you: https://hubs.ly/Q04d-ddh0

For 1Optic, that frustration was clear: telecom networks generate huge amounts of valuable data, but that data is often scattered across vendors, domains and systems. RAN, Core, Transport, OSS, performance data, fault data, configuration data. It is all there, but not always in a form that helps teams make faster or better decisions. That is why 1Optic was created. To bring network data together. To make multi-vendor environments easier to understand. To give telecom teams one clearer view of what is happening across the network. Not by replacing everything that already exists, but by connecting, normalising and structuring the data that operators already depend on. Because in telecom, better insight starts with better data. #Telecom #NetworkData #OSS #MultiVendor

Most networks promise global reach. Few actually deliver it. Colt IP Transit runs on AS3356, the most extensively peered global network. Over 60% of traffic that starts on our network stays on it. That means fewer hops, fewer handoffs, fewer headaches. ✔️ 1,100+ connected data centres ✔️ 400G interfaces where competitors still cap out ✔️ Full global internet routing table If your business depends on being everywhere, your network should be too. Modern telecom networks are no longer defined only by coverage or speed. They are defined by intelligence. Behind every resilient network is an IP/MPLS routing layer that determines how data moves, how failures are handled, and how performance is maintained at scale. In an interview with tele.net, Jitendra Choudhary, Executive President, HFCL, shares how HFCL is building indigenous telecom technologies across IP/MPLS routing, 5G, AI-driven networking, and national infrastructure programmes like BharatNet. From powering nearly 60% of BharatNet Phase III’s routing footprint to enabling large-scale 5G and defence deployments, HFCL continues to strengthen its position as a telecom technology and solutions company built for the next era of connectivity. Most transport discussions still start with capacity. But that’s rarely the full picture. As 5G backhaul scales, FWA expands, and more traffic moves between edge and data centers, the way Carrier Ethernet networks are designed is changing. Access, aggregation, and metro layers are becoming more tightly interconnected, and small design decisions at the edge now impact the entire network. Shuki Maman put together a short article outlining the key planning areas service providers are reviewing as they look toward 2030. If you're involved in transport, aggregation, or network planning, this is worth a read. 👉 https://lnkd.in/etnc8u9g #CarrierEthernet #5GBackhaul #FWA #MetroNetworks #Telecom

Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) has emerged as one of the fastest growing broadband businesses in America. With millions of Fixed Wireless Access customers nationwide and consistent year-over-year subscriber growth, operators are experiencing significant momentum in 5G Home Internet adoption. However, this rapid growth presents a new challenge: sustaining network performance as traffic demand continues to rise. Unlike traditional mobile traffic, FWA introduces unique characteristics such as: • Long-duration sessions • Sustained high throughput demand • Different uplink/downlink behavior • Higher sensitivity to cell-edge inefficiencies These factors necessitate a shift in how RF engineers approach capacity planning and management. When FWA networks are designed and optimized effectively, they can significantly enhance customer experience, reduce churn, and unlock higher customer lifetime value (CLV) and significantly improve Company Revenues. Better RF Efficiency = Higher Revenue per site Here is the FWA Capacity Optmization guide. #5GAdvanced #FWA #FWAOptimization #RFOptimization #Networkperformance #CustomerExperience

The Transport Layer: The Most Underrated Layer in Telecom In many telecom discussions, the focus is often on services, applications, and customer experience. But behind all of that lies a layer that quietly determines whether everything works—or fails: the transport layer. After working across transmission systems , IPX, and core network connectivity, I’ve seen how transport decisions directly shape business outcomes. Here are a few realities from the field: Capacity alone is not a strategy. Upgrading bandwidth from 10G to 100G is important, but without proper planning it does not address latency, routing inefficiencies, or resilience gaps. Route design matters more than route count. Having multiple paths is not enough. What matters is true physical and logical diversity. Without it, a single failure can still impact the entire network. Layer alignment is critical. Misalignment between Layer 1 (optical), Layer 2, and Layer 3/MPLS often creates hidden bottlenecks and makes troubleshooting more complex. Transport has a direct impact on cost. Inefficient routing and suboptimal interconnection points can silently increase transit costs and operational overhead. Stability is a competitive advantage. In international environments, partners value consistency and predictability as much as pricing. The takeaway is simple: The transport layer is no longer just a backbone. It is a strategic asset that defines performance, resilience, and scalability. #Telecom #TransportNetwork #MPLS #DWDM #IPX #NetworkDesign #Infrastructure #Wholesale #DigitalTransformation
