Hazer Group Limited has inked its first graphite offtake deal in steelmaking, tying its low‑emissions materials directly into WA’s green‑steel ambitions.⚙️ The company signed a non‑binding MoU and offtake LOI with Green Steel of WA, covering up to 85,000 tonnes of high‑purity graphite over 10 years for the planned Collie Steel Mill, or roughly 8,500 tonnes per year. Pricing will be linked to anthracite benchmarks, a structure designed to support market development and price discovery for Hazer’s unique co‑product. GSWA is planning what it calls Australia’s most sustainable rebar mill, using recycled scrap steel at Collie, with construction targeted to start in late 2026 and early operations from 2028. CEO Glenn Corrie described the agreement as a “major milestone” in monetising Hazer’s graphite stream and a vote of confidence in the Hazer Process, which produces low‑emissions hydrogen and graphite from natural gas without generating CO₂ as a by‑product, aligning with WA’s “Made in WA” and low‑carbon objectives. The second application for Multipave Infrastructure and their new Bison from Simem Group is the production of Cement Bound Granular Material, made by mixing graded virgin and recycled aggregates with cement and water. When compacted, the mixture hardens to form a strong, durable layer used in pavement foundations and bases. It offers higher strength and stiffness than unbound aggregates, reduces deformation under traffic loads, and provides a stable platform for the layers above. #flexiblesolutions #cement #bison #simem #concrete #batchingplants
