Shore Capital was pleased to co-host a UK North Sea congress on 29th January in London, together with The Jobs Foundation, focused on the jobs and economy of our domestic oil & gas industry. Thank you to our distinguished panellists Lord Matthew Elliott, President of the Jobs Foundation, Amjad Bseisu, Founder and CEO of EnQuest Plc, Alasdair Locke, Chairman of Well-Safe Solutions and Motor Fuel Group and Andy Prendergast, National Secretary of the GMB Union. With over 100 people in attendance including MPs, press, trade associations, academics, listed and private companies and investors, there was a clear consensus that the industry is facing significant challenges. With appropriate changes, the industry can be preserved along with its jobs and skills, while creating conditions for investment and tax revenues to grow over the medium term. Thank you to all who attended and spoke in what was an engaging and important discussion.
