#Sinner Wins $6 Million in #Riyadh as Saudi Sports Investments Surge Italy’s Jannik Sinner defeated world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz to win the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh, claiming $6 million in total prize money at the ANB Arena. The four-day invitational, held under Riyadh Season, featured Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, and Stefanos Tsitsipas — further cementing Saudi Arabia’s status as a fast-growing hub for elite global sports. A report by SURJ Sports Investments, a PIF-owned company, projects that the Kingdom’s sports sector will reach $22.4 billion by 2030, up from $8 billion today, as major events like the FIFA Club World Cup, Formula 1, and Saudi Cup boost GDP contributions to an expected $16.5 billion. Through the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Arabia now holds an 80% stake in Newcastle United, launched LIV Golf, and continues to invest in esports, MMA, and large-scale event infrastructure.
