How are you exploring the role of AI in your teaching, research, or scholarship? The Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library invites faculty to apply for the AI Sandbox, a new cohort-based initiative designed to support thoughtful experimentation with artificial intelligence in academic settings. The AI Sandbox provides a dedicated, low-risk environment for exploring generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude, while advancing research, course design, and scholarly inquiry. Through this program, participants will have the opportunity to: • Experiment with AI in a supported environment • Develop new approaches to research and course design • Test tools, workflows, and applications relevant to their discipline • Collaborate with peers across the Atlanta University Center • Contribute to a growing community of shared learning and innovation We invite faculty across the AUC to submit a proposal and be part of the first AI Sandbox cohort. 🔗 Learn more and apply: https://lnkd.in/gQXimXMz Spelman College | Morehouse College | Clark Atlanta University #SpelmanCollege #MorehouseCollege #ClarkAtlantaUniversity #ArtificialIntelligence #AIInnovation

Excited that our work, in collaboration with Julia Cook and Dr Masoud K., will be presented at the CABS Learning, Teaching and Student Experience (LTSE) 2026 conference. The presentation explores how Generative AI–mediated images can help uncover business students’ sustainability mindsets using a ZMET-based approach, and the implications for teaching, learning, and student engagement in higher education. Looking forward to connecting with educators, researchers, and practitioners interested in AI, sustainability, and innovative learning experiences. #CharteredAssociationofBusinessSchools #LTSE2026 #GenerativeAI #HigherEducation #Sustainability #BusinessEducation #LearningAndTeaching #StudentExperience #AIinEducation #EducationalInnovation #ZMET

I'm happy to announce that Utah Tech University’s new Master of Artificial Intelligence program has officially been approved and will launch this fall. This new degree will play an important role in preparing students for the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The program is designed to provide hands-on, applied learning experiences that connect advanced AI concepts with real-world problem solving across industry, research, and emerging technologies. I’m excited to see the opportunities this creates for our students, faculty, and regional workforce partners as we continue expanding AI education at Utah Tech. https://lnkd.in/ggZPJKYv #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineLearning #HigherEducation #UtahTech #AI #STEM #GraduateEducation

Charlotte Labs is building the Governance and Trust Layer for AI use in Universities. Yesterday was another huge milestone.. Our research was approved through University of Washington IRB review…meaning we can now begin dicovering the benefits of transparent and visible AI usage in classrooms and analyze AI Collaboration against peer reviewed frameworks of AI Literacy/ Fluency. This is led by the engaged and passionate Léonard Boussioux as our Primary Investigator. Dempsey Startup Competition round two is around the corner and it’s a full court press to get to the Sweet 16 and position ourselves to be “in the money”. We’ve been extremely capital efficient so far and the team has the perfect mix of specialties with one core similarity…AI natives. We can produce 10x with high quality output. Best part of this whole thing is our approach has been trust and credibility at the forefront. Excited to start our pilots and create true impact to a vital industry. If you are working in Higher Education or have connections to Faculty please reach out or send them to: https://lnkd.in/g5_xier9 to join our research cohort. Amelia W. "Faculty hallucinate too," says Dr. Nick Ladany, President of San Francisco Bay University, on the most common objection to AI in classrooms. 🤖 His point isn't a defense of AI. It's a challenge to the sanctimony around the current model. The one where a third of faculty are great, a third are mediocre, a third are incompetent, and we charge students six figures for the privilege. SFBU launched a $10K MBA and a three-year bachelor's. AI avatars teach content. Human faculty mentor, advise, and build networks. Class sizes capped at 20. Lake not included. "Higher ed is Blockbuster. We're Netflix." 🎙️ Listen here: https://lnkd.in/ef7A4Fcj

We're excited to feature another ALI R&D Bright Spot that shows how research-informed AI tools can support students with speech and language challenges. 🔗https://lnkd.in/dmcUjS7a The National AI Institute for Exceptional Education, led by the University at Buffalo, has developed an AI Screener to allow for universal early screening for all children, and an AI Orchestrator to provide individualized interventions for students with Individualized Education Plans. These innovations are designed to reduce strain on the education system while improving the quality of support students receive. Supported by a $20M joint grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Institute of Education Sciences, the Institute is proving the importance of investing in R&D to support students who are too often overlooked. Recently, I gave a lab talk at Harvard University on human–AI interaction in education. I shared my research work on how generative AI systems support learners and how to make AI policy more accessible in real-world educational settings. I'm grateful for the engaging discussion and valuable insights. I had the opportunity to present earlier today with Dr. Adam Stark at Seminole State College’s Summer Heat 2026 on using AI in instruction. It was a valuable chance to engage with educators around a question many of us are working through right now: how do we use AI in ways that genuinely support teaching and learning without losing sight of academic integrity, faculty judgment, and student growth? Our session focused on practical instructional uses of AI, thoughtful implementation, and the importance of approaching these tools with both curiosity and care. I’m grateful to Seminole State College for the opportunity and to everyone who participated in the conversation. These discussions matter, and I’m encouraged by how many educators are working to move from uncertainty to intentional practice. #HigherEducation #GenerativeAI #TeachingAndLearning #FacultyDevelopment #InstructionalInnovation #EdTech #ArtificialIntelligence
