When the world was invited to Osaka, it gathered under a single symbol: the largest wooden structure ever built, the RING. A place that united ideas, encounters, and the shared conviction that we, as a global community, must shape our future together. For months, nations, communities, and visitors moved in and around this 2-kilometer-long ring. They left behind traces of transformation and the realization that the future does not arise in isolation, but in the rhythm of a connected world. The Grand Ring thus became a portal: between what we are today and what we can become together. It represents the spirit of EXPO Osaka 2025. Now the Expo approaches its next chapter. The ring is too meaningful to be forgotten, asks for a new destiny. And in this moment lies an opportunity: not to break it apart, but to let it continue. Just as the Olympic flame carries the spirit of the Games into the world, the ring can carry the spirit of the Expo into the world, namely that only as a global community we can preserve an environment that is viable for all beings. What if the ring did not end in Osaka? What if it kept travelling — as the Expo itself once travelled across cultures, stories, and continents? Our proposal is simple, yet profound: Let the ring go back to the world it once welcomed. Pieces of the ring may be placed in the countries that gathered here — parts of a place where ideas were exchanged freely, where differences shaped innovation, where cooperation overshadowed distance. These fragments can return as cultural landmarks, learning spaces, meeting places, and reminders that global unity is not temporary, but continuous. Each element becomes a beacon of creativity, sustainability, and crosscultural spirit of the Expo. Together, these ring pieces scattered across the world form a new kind of ring: a ring without a fixed center, a ring made up of many places, a ring held together by intention rather than geometry. A mental ring that connects the global community. Thus, the ring continues to exist. Not by remaining whole, but by becoming everywhere again and again. Carried by the same global energy that once gathered beneath it. We are all connected, and the future we imagine together belongs to all of us. The Common of the ring. #expoosaka
