Excited to share that Navignostics AG is an implementation partner for NAIPO – Switzerland’s National AI Initiative for Precision Oncology.   This flagship program, led by the EPFL and ETH AI Centers, unites Switzerland’s biggest players, including Roche, SOPHiA GENETICS, Debiopharm, the Swiss Data Science Center, and the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) and major clinics to build a secure national AI infrastructure for cancer care.   With a total budget of CHF 18.9M partially funded by Innosuisse, NAIPO is the largest coordinated effort in Swiss precision oncology.   Navignostics will contribute spatial single-cell proteomic data, adding unique insights into the tumor microenvironment. Quality data is key to enable the AI models developed within the consortium to deliver reliable and clinically useful results. Introducing… NAIPO — the National AI Initiative for Precision Oncology — selected as a Flagship Initiative by Innosuisse. 🔬 🤖   Rolling out over the next four years, the initiative aims to transform cancer care in Switzerland with artificial intelligence. NAIPO will develop a secure infrastructure to enable AI-powered precision oncology nationwide — ensuring that sensitive and personal health data remains protected while unlocking new possibilities for personalized, equitable, and effective treatments. Harvard Medical School has just introduced PDGrapher, a breakthrough AI model published in Nature Biomedical Engineering. Unlike older methods that ask “what does this drug do?”, PDGrapher asks a better question: “What combination of targets will restore a diseased cell to health?” Why this matters for responsible AI in healthcare Most drug discovery is slow, costly, and focused on one target at a time. PDGrapher does three things differently: Direct predictions: It identifies therapeutic targets and combinations that shift diseased cells back to healthy ones. Scalable & efficient: Trains 25 times faster than other AI methods, reducing waste and cost. Clinically grounded: Validated across 11 cancers and found both known targets (like VEGFR2 in lung cancer) and overlooked ones (like TOP2A), opening new doors for existing drugs. And here’s the responsible part: Harvard has made PDGrapher open-source, so every researcher not just big pharma can build on it.
