Clinical trials should be able to not just prove non inferiority to a standard of care, but ideally the next generation should be able to show some level of superiority, whether that's in vision or anatomy or also in durability, less frequent dosing, similar or better vision outcomes. That's what we're all starving for in the retina community. Clinical trials have demonstrate first and foremost safety and then efficacy to instill confidence amongst the retina community. They also need to have improvements over our current standard of care. We have great treatments for patients, but the frequency of them is so burdensome and so a lot of my patients don't receive the visual benefits seen in the clinical trials and if we had something that was less burdensome and more durable. We're hoping that they would end up with those visual gains.
