Today we’re highlighting Dr. Catherine Omosule, this year’s George Grannis Award for Excellence in Research and Scientific Publication winner. The Grannis award recognizes scientific research excellence by students and trainees in laboratory medicine and diagnostics and includes a guest lectureship at an Ohio Valley Local Section meeting. Dr. Omosule’s work focuses on biomarker development and validation, noninvasive sampling methodologies, and pediatric laboratory medicine. Her recent research centers on myoinositol as a novel biomarker for detecting kidney injury and disease.
