Making history one month ago 🏎️ Doriane Pin became the first woman to drive a Mercedes F1 car when she got behind-the-wheel of the W12 at Silverstone. A landmark moment for Doriane. A proud moment for our team. Another important moment for our sport. Because moments like this matter. They matter not only because of what they represent, but because of the person at the heart of them. Doriane is a racer through and through: determined, talented, humble, and constantly pushing herself to improve. Her first laps in an F1 car were another step in a journey defined by hard work, resilience, and ambition. But we also know there is still so much more to do. Representation, access, and opportunity remain vital if motorsport is to become more inclusive and reflective of the world around us. Progress does not happen through one moment alone, but moments like this can inspire, open doors, and remind us why this work matters so much. We’re proud to have Doriane as part of our team and excited to see her continue to grow in her role as Development Driver. Next stop: Canada, where she, as last year's champion, will be supporting our current F1 ACADEMY driver Payton Westcott. We can’t wait to see what comes next for both of them 👊 #F1Academy #WomenInMotorsport #F1

Love seeing the sport grow in this direction , especially the growing visibility of new audiences and communities around F1 😍
A moment like this goes far beyond a single lap. It shows what motorsport can become when talent, opportunity and visibility finally meet. Stories like Doriane’s matter because they inspire the next generation to believe they belong here too.

This is one of those moments that reminds people how much talent has existed outside the traditional pipeline for years. 🏁 What stands out to me isn’t just the headline of “first woman to drive a Mercedes F1 car.” It’s the level of precision, preparation, trust, and technical confidence required for a team to hand someone machinery at that level in the first place. Motorsport is one of the most performance-driven environments in the world. Nothing gets hidden once the visor drops. That’s why moments like this carry weight across the paddock. Good to see the sport continuing to expand who gets access to these opportunities and environments.
