We’re excited to share that Lions & Tigers Founder & CEO Brea Starmer will be speaking at the 2026 Puget Sound Business Journal Women Who Lead Summit, joining the panel “Career Reinvention.” Brea will be in conversation with Maria Colacurcio, CEO of Syndio, and Karen Lee, CEO of Plymouth Housing, moderated by Cathy Duchamp of the Puget Sound Business Journal. The discussion will focus on what it actually takes to navigate inflection points in a career—when to stay, when to pivot, and how leaders build durable paths that don’t follow a single, linear playbook. At Lions & Tigers, we see firsthand that meaningful leadership is rarely the result of a traditional trajectory. It’s shaped by tradeoffs, reinvention, and the ability to lead through ambiguity. We’re proud to see that perspective represented alongside leaders who are shaping the future of work across the Puget Sound region. 📍 Seattle Convention Center 🗓 Thursday, May 28, 2026 If you’re attending the summit, we’d welcome the chance to connect: https://lnkd.in/gqfq9Ze5 #PSBJWomenWhoLead #CareerReinvention #FutureOfWork #BlendedWorkforce

Just listened to the latest Inside the ICE House episode with Carey Lohrenz and Lindsey Pfeifer really nailed something important here. The whole conversation centers on a simple but brutal truth: an organization is only as fearless as its leaders. Vision, culture, clarity… it all flows downhill. If the top is uncertain, everyone below feels it. Worth a listen if you’re thinking about what drives organizational culture and how leadership clarity actually matters. #Leadership #Culture

If you need a midweek pick me up, hit play on this one. Candid. Clear. Bold. Unforgettable. At ICE Experience, Lindsey Pfeifer sat down with Carey Dunai Lohrenz, CPAE at the Executive Women's Lunch. The conversation was so good, it couldn't end there. #iykyk Lucky for us, Carey said yes to round two on Inside the ICE House. Thanks to Lindsey. "Carey Lohrenz on Fearless Leadership, Trust, and Decisive Action Under Pressure" is now live. 58 minutes. Worth every one. https://lnkd.in/eYWv3kCy

Six years ago when I joined SF Partners, Rebecca Parnell, was the only woman in the senior team. Me joining made 2. Fast forward to today and 65% of our leadership team is women. Not through any deliberate DEI action, but by building female confidence, being loud about what it takes to succeed as a woman (especially in your fertile years) and creating the room for everyone to thrive. So when Rebecca and her East Midlands leadership team told me they wanted to launch an external group to do the same for senior finance women in the region, I was very pleased. When I was a CFO, I didn’t know a single other woman in the same role. I’m sure I would have slept better if I had! Introducing Elavare | Women in Finance Leadership. Chaired by Carolyn Pears, Elavare is a space for frank conversation between high performing women in Finance. Follow us online to find out more! Last month at the CALED Annual Conference, attendees packed the room to attend the "Women Who Build Places: Leading Economic Development Through Leadership, Influence, and Practice" session. Led by Darlene Sanchez, Assistant City Manager of the City of Ontario, panelists Jennifer McLain Hiramoto, CALED Chair and Executive Director of Economic Development for the City of Ontario, Christina Bibler, Director of Economic Development for The City of San Diego, and Traci Michel, Director of Economic Development and Housing for the City of West Sacramento, discussed how to build a career in and navigate through male-dominated fields. After detailing how each grew into their leadership roles and accomplished challenging projects along the way, the panelists engaged in an insightful Q&A session with attendees on balancing leadership with work, family, and personal life. Thank you to our wonderful women in leadership for starting the discussion on how to succeed as a woman in #EconDev and to everyone who attended and participated!

Strong leadership. Strong community. Strong momentum. Detroit’s technology ecosystem keeps moving forward because of people and organizations willing to invest in others. Proud to see the collaboration between SIM Detroit and the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation (MCWT).
Transformational CIO/CISO - IT Executive/Innovation Leader | Cross-Industry Executive | Board Member & Advisor | SIM Detroit Impact Award Winner 🏆
Wow… what a week! Still working to catch up, but incredibly grateful for this community and everyone who showed up for my family this week! ❤️🩹 One highlight; an invitation from Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation (MCWT) and Marcy Farrell to represent SIM Detroit at Tuesday night’s Advisory Board meeting. It was an honor to share the momentum happening across our tech community and the measurable impact being created throughout Detroit through mentorship, leadership development, and service. One thing continues to stand out: When organizations and people come together around community and impact, great things happen. Better together is more than a phrase. It’s how we’re moving Detroit forward. I also had the opportunity to share the launch of the 2026 SIM Detroit Vanguard Awards: https://lnkd.in/eNkpSJDc The Vanguard Awards will recognize leaders across our region based on impact, leadership, mentorship, and contribution to the community. Detroit has incredible technology leaders. Let’s continue doing our part to recognize and celebrate them. I’ll also be attending the 2026 Executive Connections Summit on June 3 and would encourage others to join and support MCWT and their incredible mission: https://lnkd.in/eXMu9RGX We can all do our part to make Michigan the number one state for women in tech. #BetterTogether #SIMDetroit #DetroitTech #Leadership #Community Lori Koza Anita Klopfenstein Ellece Campbell Chelsea Hurst Jane Sydlowski Jill Turpin Brian Schneble Amanda M. Women are helping reshape what leadership looks like in the plumbing industry. 💪 This 1851 Franchise article highlights Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchise owner Michelle Glasson and how a family business grew into a workplace centered on strong leadership, team culture, and opportunity—especially for women exploring careers in the skilled trades. 💬“My biggest advice would be to believe in yourself and don’t hold back.” Her story is a reminder that home services leadership isn’t defined by stereotypes, but by communication, respect, and a commitment to building great teams. 👉Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/eQV68DpX #AuthorityBrands #Plumbing #WomenInTrades #FranchiseOwnership #SkilledTrades
