🎯 Set pieces are not just about delivery… they’re about creativity In this situation, the goal was to create multiple scenarios from the same setup: 3 players over the ball to create uncertainty Opposite movements (right / left) to manipulate the defensive line And a Third player making a smart curved run behind the defensive zone 📌 The key idea: Give the taker more than one option instead of forcing a predictable action The more solutions you create, the harder it becomes for the opponent to read and react 👌 Set pieces have become a decisive factor in modern football — and the difference is always in the details #Football #SetPieces #Tactics #Coaching #GameAnalysis #FootballCoaching #Analysis #Soccer #Strategy

What if scanning is not the skill itself, but a visible manifestation of deeper perceptual adaptation? I’ve been working on a conceptual framework exploring how environmental pressure, physical disadvantage, and chaotic football environments may contribute to the development of elite football intelligence. Core idea: “Elite football intelligence may emerge through adaptation to difficult developmental environments.” Open to feedback, criticism, and discussion from coaches, analysts, and researchers. #Football #PlayerDevelopment #Scanning #FootballIntelligence #Coaching

⚽ Tactical Analysis: Győri Offensive Set Pieces 💡 📝 Theme: Coordinated dragging movements to vacate the Target Zone. 🎯 Positioning Strategy The dynamic relies on manipulating the opponent’s marking to create a "finishing corridor" in the heart of the box. 🔸Fixing Block: Players positioned in the six-yard box with the specific mission to pin down defenders and restrict the goalkeeper's movement. 🔸The Decoys (Dragging): Two players under man-to-man marking perform divergent runs: 🔺Player A: Drags his marker toward the near post. 🔺Player B: Drags his marker toward the far post. 🔸Space Creation: These opposing movements stretch the defensive line, "clearing" the Central Zone (Target Zone). ⚡ The Decisive Moment: Finishing 🔸The play’s success hinges on the Target Man’s timing: 🔸Initial Position: Starts at the far post, shadowed by his marker. 🔸Explosive Break: As the ball is delivered, he quickly loses his marker and sprints into the vacant central space. 🔸Execution: Unopposed finish within the Target Zone. ------ JP Analysis 💻🎯💡⚽ #soccer #coach #videoanalysis #setpieces #cornerkick #idea #performanceanalyst #football #team #livetagpro

At elite level, talent creates moments. Structure creates consistency. PSG vs Bayern was not only a 5–4 Champions League thriller. For coaches, it was a live classroom in momentum, rest defence and decision-making under pressure. Three coaching lessons stood out for me: 1. Momentum Management In elite football, control can disappear in minutes. The next 5 minutes after scoring or conceding often reveal the real maturity of a team. Emotional control, tactical clarity and collective discipline become decisive. 2. Rest Defence Attacking with numbers is only powerful when the structure behind the ball is strong. Creativity needs protection. Balance is not the opposite of attacking football — it is what allows attacking football to survive transitions. 3. Decision-Making Under Pressure At this level, technique is only the visible part. The real difference is often the decision before the action: When to accelerate. When to pause. When to play forward. When to secure possession. Talent creates moments. Structure creates consistency. #FootballCoaching #YouthDevelopment #MatchAnalysis #PlayerDevelopment #ChampionsLeague

Success is the Sum of Repetition Michael Jordan famously said that his success was built on thousands of missed shots and failed opportunities. It’s a powerful reminder that elite performance is never an accident—it is the result of a relentless process. This goal against Ajax, scored just 35 seconds into the match from a long throw-in, is a perfect example of that philosophy in action. In modern football, set-piece coaching is about more than just a single moment; it is about the hours of preparation that the world rarely sees: - Refining the Details: Perfecting technique and timing through endless repetition. - Trusting the Process: Staying committed to the strategy, even when results aren’t immediate. - Specialized Impact: Proving that marginal gains in set-pieces can change the course of a game in an instant. When preparation meets perseverance, the results speak for themselves. This clip isn't just about a goal; it's about the discipline to keep trying until the plan comes to life on the biggest stage. Details can make the differents (attacking and defensive) 🔴⚪️ #PSV #SetPieces #Performance #MichaelJordan #FootballCoaching #Process #Eredivisie

In high‑performance environments, success is rarely determined by skill alone — it’s shaped by how individuals and teams respond when pressure intensifies. Arsenal’s recent Premier League seasons offer a compelling example of this dynamic. Their late‑season performances, often marked by a visible shift in confidence, creativity, and composure, highlight how psychological factors can influence outcomes just as much as tactics or talent. This document explores what Arsenal’s journey reveals about pressure, mindset, and sustained performance — and why these lessons matter far beyond football. #LeadershipDevelopment #PerformancePsychology #HighPerformanceTeams #MindsetMatters #OrganisationalBehaviour #PressureManagement #TeamCulture #SportsLeadership #PeakPerformance #ResilientTeams #BusinessPsychology #EliteMindset #Arsenal #PremierLeague #PerformanceUnderPressure

Mirra Andreeva’s recent comments highlight one of the most underestimated dangers in elite sport: when extreme ambition turns every defeat into an identity crisis. Massive expectations, constant self-judgment, and emotional overinvestment can create an unstable internal system even in athletes with extraordinary talent. The real mental challenge at the highest level is not only learning how to win. It is learning how to lose without losing yourself in the process. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dnQXZSAT #tennis #MirraAndreeva #performance #mentalcoaching #focus #leadership #sport

I was going through an article on “Chunking Down”, here are my Top 3 Learnings; 1. Big Goals Become Actionable Chunking down teaches us that every large goal can be converted into small executable steps. Example: In T20 cricket, a team never thinks “We need 220 runs! in 20 overs” Instead they chunk it down: Win the powerplay Rotate strike Build partnerships Target weak bowlers 👉 Large targets become manageable when broken into smaller phases. 2. Overthinking Reduces When Specificity Increases The brain fears vague problems more than clear tasks. Example: A captain doesn’t say: “We are playing badly.” They chunk down: Death bowling issue? Too many dot balls? Poor field placement? Weak middle-order batting? 👉 Specific analysis leads to better decisions under pressure. 3. Consistency Beats Intensity Chunking down teaches that small repeated actions create bigger transformation than occasional massive effort. Example: IPL-winning teams usually don’t rely on one explosive performance every match. Instead: Good powerplay regularly Disciplined bowling Strong fielding Small partnerships 👉 Small repeated contributions create championship-winning teams.

💪 Defensive Pressure | 10-P9! Organisation: 🔵 This functional practice is focused on defensive pressure from our attacking players set up in a a 3412 against opposition playing out in a 433. 🔵 Goalkeeper begins with the ball to play out with 2 centre backs in the pressing zone. 🔵 Attacking players cannot enter the pressing zone, until a defender has taken their first touch, with defenders aiming to score in mini goals on 1 or 2 touches in the advanced zone. 🔵 If pressing team win, they can attack goal in a 5 v 5 whilst maintaining shape. 🔵 Focus on pressing team shape and triggers to encourage them to press, with slow backwards pass, pressing in line with player to ensure return pass can’t be made and reacting to pass limit progression, with tighter and more concerted pressure further up the pitch. Key Coaching Points: 🔵 Shape of defensive unit when applying the press 🔵 Co-ordination of press - importance of closing the correct channels to avoid being played through 🔵 Intensity when attempting to win the ball high up 🔵 Communication when moving as a unit 🔵 Decisiveness when high press results in winning the ball #football #soccer #footballtraining #soccertraining #soccerdrills #footballplayer #soccerreels #footballreels #viral #soccerlove #fyp
