💸 Are you leaving 15% (or more) of your revenue on the table? Players that need to think twice about how they're paying spend less. But when they see familiar payment methods they trust, transaction numbers go up and loyalty grows naturally. The easier you make it to pay, the faster interest turn into revenue and the stronger your players come to trust you, especially in new markets. Even Swifties can appreciate the finance lesson behind Taylor Swift’s recent move. A real-world example of value, ownership, and strategic control. Taylor Swift has once again made headlines, regaining ownership of the master recordings for her first six albums. This milestone concludes a years-long negotiation that redefined how artists think about intellectual property and brand power. In Shamrock Capital: Pricing the Masters of Taylor Swift, Professor Michael J. Schill and Kelcie Schofield (MBA ’23) analyze the valuation and decision-making behind Swift’s original masters — showcasing the intersection of finance, strategy, and creativity. The case provides a context for introducing students to discounted-cash-flow (DCF) valuation, market multiples, and the perpetuity model for terminal-value estimation. As she releases her newest album, Swift reminds us that owning your work is both an artistic and financial triumph. https://lnkd.in/ePveW795 #UVA #DardenMBA #Finance #Cashflow #Valuation #TaylorSwift
