Having spent years inside NJ ORs and hospital systems, I know ratings like this don’t happen from one department or one initiative. It takes alignment between clinical teams, SPD, nursing, environmental services, transport, administration, supply chain, and leadership — especially in large systems like HMH. Congratulations to everyone behind the scenes who rarely gets recognized publicly but helps make outcomes like this possible.
Hospital ratings may get announced by executives, but they’re earned at 2am by exhausted nurses, techs, EVS staff, transporters, SPD teams, residents, and people the public will never know by name. Healthcare is still one of the few industries where invisible work can literally save lives.

Congrats! Hackensack Meridian Health is where I get all of the healthcare services that I can get: my PCP from an NCQA PCMH, amazing specialists, ER, labs, imaging, everything except ophthalmology/optometry because I don't think they have that. My health has improved so much since I moved my care to HMH. They deserve this award. My goal is to work for them one day. :)
