A fantastic resource from our partners at #Greenheck! K-12 facilities present some of the most varied ventilation challenges in the industry — classrooms, commercial kitchens, science labs, gyms — each space has its own demands, and getting it right directly impacts the health and performance of students and staff. This interactive school model is a great tool for engineers and specifiers to visualise how a complete, integrated ventilation approach comes together across an entire building. At #IandMIndustries we work closely with Greenheck to bring these solutions to projects across Australia. If you're working on a school upgrade or new build and want to talk through the right approach for your application, we'd love to help. #HVAC #Ventilation #K12 #SchoolDesign #IAQ #IndoorAirQuality #MEP #BuildingServices

A school gym can host PE class in the morning, a basketball game that evening and graduation the next day. That kind of built-in flexibility is exactly what today’s higher ed learning spaces need. In a new Spaces4Learning byline, Jay Lyons, Logitech for Education Product & Portfolio Manager, explores what classrooms can learn from the gymnasium model of flexibility: designing spaces from the start to be interoperable, adaptable and easy to use across teaching modalities. Half of England's schools are unfit for purpose. 96% of headteachers say they don't have the capital funding to fix it. The NAO puts the bill at £14bn. When basics like buildings, SEND facilities, safe playground, are this stretched, every other line on the capital plan needs to work harder. That's the thinking behind @PanelWise. Interactive panels are a real cost once the manufacturer warranty ends and replacing them too early pulls money away from things that matter more. Extending their life on a fixed cost frees up capital for the spend that can't wait. It won't fix a leaking roof, but it can stop classroom tech from competing with it. https://lnkd.in/eKyuwHZP

Is the era of the 'venue' projector ending in schools? As LED video wall prices are dropping drastically in our region, they are becoming a serious contender for new construction and renovations. We are even seeing this tech advertised for classrooms with large 100”+ interactive displays on rolling stands popping up at EdTech trade shows. At SFS, we’ve just deployed our first large video wall (6 meters) to replace a projector setup in our multi-purpose center. The difference in legibility and visual impact—even from the furthest corners—has already been noted by our community.
