Fun experiment: Ask AI in a prompt to describe and explain the reasons people shouldn't use AI and why it could be unethical. Then count the number of times AI either: 1) undirected, goes completely off-prompt to give you reasons you SHOULD use AI; or 2) uses weasel-words and other qualifiers like "some people say" or other things to "soften the blow." 100% success rate on this so far in my examples.

If you're using AI, should you also know how to do the task you're asking it to do? Clive (Max) Maxfield explores this very topic in his latest column, "It’s OK to Use AI; Just Don’t Let AI Use You." He turns to AI to help with some coding that he could produce himself, but AI expedited a solution. The exercise makes him wonder, though, whether engineers are relying too much on AI. What do you think? Tell us in the comments. https://lnkd.in/d45C-jUq

Most people try to “describe” what they want from AI. But with AI, examples work better than instructions. If you care about tone or style, just paste a reference. It’s faster, and the output is usually better. #AIProductivityTips #AITips
