Efficiency and effectiveness are forever interconnected. A business (or process) can't survive if the pendulum swings too far in either direction. The challenge is that 50/50 isn't usually correct either. It's both/and, with the flexibility to adapt to the current situation.
This so relevant to my field. I'm a live wedding/event painter. Have been since 2010. Since COVID, there's been a huge influx of “speed painters”. My client inquiries these days start, “How many guest portraits can you do per hour?” My “brand” if you can call it that, has always about creating actual art, doing it live and engaging with people. Guest experience is key.
