Last week, Quobly joined #ForumQuantiqueDéfense at Polytechnique, where our CEO Maud Vinet shared perspectives on the next phase of the quantum ecosystem. Quantum computing is entering a phase where scientific progress, industrial execution and strategic priorities now move together. Performance alone is not enough, the ability to scale, manufacture and deploy systems is becoming equally decisive. France’s continued support through initiatives such as the Defense Quantum Campus and the Defense Quantum Lab of Agence de l'innovation de défense is an important signal for the ecosystem. We were honored by the presence of Catherine Vautrin and thank the organizers for the discussions. #quantumcomputing #defense

🇦🇺 Quantum in Space 💰 £425B on the Table. 🇬🇧 Where is the UK? I was pleased to see this update on the Quantum Computing Report by GQI about QuantX Labs and the great work by Martin O'Connor and Andre Luiten in their deployment of compact optical atomic clock into orbit. But what's more important, is how this is all underpinned by Australian Defence Spending. The Aus ecosystem has done something I called out at the Quantum Australia Austrade embassy event last year. That is Australia has managed to connect: Research → Industry → Defence → Investment and then deployment. That’s the loop the UK still struggles to close consistently. This is less a shout out to the Aus quantum sector and more a grumble that the UK still hasn't got it's Defence Investment Plan out, leaving a lot of startups wondering. https://lnkd.in/eUDW9YVT. https://lnkd.in/emqrwEjH UK Ministry of Defence

The quantum sector is at a critical inflection point, shifting from a science story to a deployment reality, where adoption, talent, and partnerships will determine impact. As Mitacs’ National Quantum Lead, Jean Olemou is focused on bridging both sides of the equation: connecting Canada’s world-class quantum research with the organizations ready to adopt it, from quantum companies to banks, telecoms, defence, and critical infrastructure. In 2026, his focus is clear: expand partnerships, activate growing demand in sectors like defence, and strengthen the talent pipelines needed to translate quantum science into deployed systems. The most effective collaborations? Those built around real problems with defined deployment horizons, from post-quantum cryptography to quantum sensing and computing applications. Connect with Jean to explore how your organization can engage with Canada’s growing quantum ecosystem: https://lnkd.in/g6ajqCqa #MitacsEcosystem #Quantum #Innovation #ResearchCollaboration #TalentDevelopment

Pasqal X Thales & European Defense Fund https://lnkd.in/eXbaKbtA €4M European Defence Fund grant funds defence-focused fault-tolerant quantum research. Pasqal will lead the CoPaNA consortium with ParityQC and Thales to develop concatenated parity codes on neutral‑atom processors over a three‑year horizon. The grant targets technical work on error‑correcting code architectures that are relevant to fault‑tolerant quantum computing. Success depends on experimental milestones and integration across partners; technical risk is inherent because scalable fault tolerance remains an open research challenge. Subsequent disclosures or publications will show progress against specific technical milestones.

Pasqal Thoughts 2026 in Paris - the race for Quantum Computers at scale Solving Industrial Optimization with Quantum with Thales https://lnkd.in/epkmw5wp Industrial optimization is one of the clearest near-term areas of interest for quantum computing, and this session explores why. With perspectives from Frédéric Barbaresco (Thales), Etienne Décossin (EDF), and Chiara Vercellino (Links Foundation), the discussion highlights how quantum and quantum-inspired methods may help address complex scheduling, planning, and resource allocation challenges in industries including aerospace & defense, energy and telecommunications.

🔐 How do we protect trust in a post‑quantum world? As quantum computing advances, today’s cryptography will no longer be enough—and secure communication must scale globally. At Toshiba, researchers are addressing this challenge by taking quantum key distribution (QKD) into space. Backed by 25+ years of research, Toshiba has developed a compact QKD system for satellite deployment and completed a ground demonstration that confirms interoperability between free‑space and terrestrial QKD networks—a key step toward secure intercontinental communication. 👉 Read the full story behind this milestone and the people making it possible: https://lnkd.in/eJ6cczbq

Four stage appearances, one poster submission, two quantum clock models, a media release or two, a few bevvies and a lot of coffee rounded out a successful showing at Quantum Australia. Shout out to those we shared the stage with (Andrew Seedhouse, Hugh Meggitt, Anne Curtis, James Rabeau, Dani Couger, Swinburne University of Technology, and Siemens), the astronomical list of poster submissions, our team (Andre Luiten, Martin O'Connor, Sebastian Ng, Sholto Forbes-Spyratos, PhD, Fred Baynes, Zachary Holmes, Alexandros Kolovinos, Lisa Paddick and Justina Gardiner GAICD) and most importantly to the quantum community for your interest in our TEMPO products. It was exciting to see the quantum ecosystem growing. QuantX is ready now, developing quantum technology to solve critical infrastructure, defence and resilient communications. #QAC2026 #quantumtechnology #precisiontiming #criticalinfrastructure
