Sponsored: Modern data centers consume prodigious amounts of energy as they tackle complex artificial-intelligence (AI) and high-performance-computing (HPC) workloads. Indeed, IT rack power requirements are moving from 100 kW to more than 1 MW, necessitating new approaches to distributing power to and within each rack. The effective, efficient distribution of this power requires advanced semiconductor products ranging from power stages to microcontrollers. Read more here: https://bit.ly/4nwFk21

Quality Equipment for Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) High-performance computing in Data Centers is driving the need for more efficient liquid-cooling systems. These specified systems require quality equipment to perform 24/7 and reliably monitor, regulate, and dissipate heat from the processing equipment. As high-performance computing evolves to support rapidly growing technologies like AI and quantum computing, so does the need for more robust data centers. High-density data center equipment generates much heat and needs to be continually cooled. Liquid cooling systems, because liquid has higher thermal conductivity, are much more efficient than air-cooled systems. Quantrol has the high-quality equipment that professionals need for Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs). Call and talk to one of our experts. AI infrastructure is pushing power architectures to new limits. A single 100kW AI server can contain 100 AI chips across 10 server cards, requiring precise power conversion, voltage regulation, and thermal management to maintain stability and efficiency. From the 480V 3 phase 100kW input to the ultra-low voltage point of load conversion, every stage of the power chain must be validated under real world operating conditions. Key test components include: • Chroma 61800 Grid Simulator for AC power input simulation • Chroma 63700 Regenerative DC Electronic Load for energy recovery and system level testing • Chroma 63200A High Power DC Electronic Loads for validating high current DC distribution • Chroma 62000DC High Power DC Power Supplies for stable DC sourcing • 48V to 12V voltage regulation and 12V to 0.8V POL conversion validation • Chroma 63202A-20-2000 Ultra Low Voltage DC Electronic Loads for AI chip power rail testing • Chroma 62000P Programmable DC Power Supplies for precision voltage delivery As AI servers continue scaling in power density, end to end validation of PSUs, BBUs, HVDC systems, and power shelves becomes critical for performance, efficiency, and reliability. See how Chroma supports comprehensive AI server power validation from grid input to AI chip level testing. Battery storage might be the most data‑intensive asset class on the grid: millions of cells, SoC/SoH every few seconds, and control actions that need to land in ~150 ms — all on hardware that’s expected to run for 20–25 years with changing components and firmware. An article I just read on battery storage edge data (IIoT World) nails the real challenge: not just volume, but shifting regulations, evolving business models (who’s responsible for balancing?), and messy, noisy OT networks. Most operators discover the hard way that they need cell‑level visibility and a data architecture that can keep up with constant change — not just a better dashboard. This is exactly where Seeq fits: helping utilities and IPPs turn OT data from cell → container → site → fleet into decisions. We unify messy, multi‑OEM tags into a consistent asset model, survive hardware/firmware churn, and give operations, trading, and asset teams a shared, high‑speed view of degradation, availability, and market performance — without rebuilding everything every time the business model shifts. If you’re wrestling with BESS data from the edge to the control room, this perspective is worth a read — link in the comments. #BatteryStorage #GridEdge #PowerAnalytics #EnergyTransition #Seeq

Mr. Data Centers at the Sumitomo Electric Lightwave booth at Data Center World with Matt McDonald and Katie Tart. Fiber routing and connectivity infrastructure doesn't get talked about as much as power and cooling, but it's just as critical to high-density AI builds. The bandwidth demands of GPU clusters at scale put serious pressure on the fiber plant inside the data center, and Sumitomo Electric Lightwave has been engineering high-density fiber connectivity solutions for this exact problem. Their booth had fiber routing displays and intra-connectivity solutions on the table, the kind of infrastructure that has to be right before anything else in the stack performs correctly. Thanks for having us, Matt and Katie.

🚀 Liquid cooling is no longer optional — it's a strategic imperative. The latest "Liquid Logic" report from Castrol reveals a clear message: the data center industry must act now. 72% of data center experts say we need to adopt liquid cooling within 3 years to stay competitive. 92% agree it's the future standard for HPC thermal management. Key takeaways: 🔹 Direct-to-chip (DLC) & immersion cooling — handling 1000W+ TDP chips 🔹 40-60% energy savings on cooling infrastructure 🔹 Enables AI clusters at 300-1000kW per rack 🔹 Market projected: $5B → $20B by 2030 The question isn't *if* you'll move to liquid cooling. It's *how fast* you can make the transition. What's your timeline? #DataCenter #LiquidCooling #AIInfrastructure #HPC #Sustainability
