Financial Futures Program Earns $422,000 for Students

Career readiness conversations are more impactful when students can connect them to real future opportunities. Programs like Financial Futures help bridge that gap by combining financial education, career exploration, and education savings support to help students build confidence while planning for what comes next. A strong early education workforce supports not only our children, but the strength of our entire economy. 🍎🍏 As Massachusetts and National Apprenticeship Week come to a close, we're announcing a $1.4 million investment in GROW Grants—connecting more than 250 individuals across the state to careers in early childhood education. 💵 Since January 2023, the Healey-Driscoll Administration has awarded $13.5 million in Massachusetts Registered Apprenticeship GROW grants, of which $4.7 million has supported Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs. #ApprenticeshipMA #NAW2026

At the center of this effort is Fisher’s Childcare Apprenticeship Program (FCAP). Through this initiative, we are partnering with childcare centers across Brockton, New Bedford, and Metro North to create 50 new apprenticeship opportunities.   For more than 20 years, Fisher has prepared early childhood educators through strong community partnerships. This new funding allows us to deepen that impact, especially where access to quality childcare is limited and the need for skilled educators is urgent.

This spring, we’re excited to share the latest updates to the K–12 Teacher Apprenticeship Compendium from Pathways Alliance. Over the past five years, teacher apprenticeship programs have expanded rapidly, now reaching 49 states nationwide and creating more accessible, high-quality pathways into the teaching profession. We’re proud to highlight five new programs aligned with the U.S. Department of Labor’s National Guideline Standards, representing Alaska, Indiana, Oregon, Wisconsin, and Connecticut. These additions reflect the continued momentum and commitment across states to build strong, sustainable educator pipelines. All featured programs meet DOL-approved National Guideline Standards, ensuring that Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Programs are rigorous, effective, and designed to support aspiring educators every step of the way.
