From phase one to phase two 🌴 Last week, our Category Manager Koen Swart visited our organic coconut sugar suppliers on Java, Indonesia. During his visit, he also saw the progress of our dwarf coconut tree project up close, as we move into phase two. Together with our local partner, we are planting a new generation of dwarf coconut trees that are safer to harvest and start producing earlier – supporting better working conditions and a more stable, long‑term perspective for farmers. Following a positive first phase with 80 farmers, we are now expanding the project. Just before the rainy season starts, we will plant another 3,500 seedlings and support 221 farmers across three villages, giving the young trees a strong start. We are pleased with the positive response from the farmers involved in the first phase, which allows us to further scale our impact in phase two.
