During 4YFN and MWC Barcelona, DeepTech Alliance hosted the first in-person gathering of the Next-Gen Compute Exploration Program, bringing together a small group of corporate members to explore the rapidly evolving quantum computing landscape. Over two days, participants engaged directly with: leading technology companies, like IBM, Microsoft, NVIDIA and SandboxAQ, deep tech startups, like Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech, QCentroid, Quside or LuxQuanta, and research institutions, like Barcelona Supercomputing Center or investors like Big Sur Ventures gaining first-hand insights into the state of quantum technologies and their potential industrial applications. From discussions with global tech players and quantum startups to visits and technical briefings across the ecosystem, the program created a rare opportunity to connect perspectives across industry, science and entrepreneurship. We are especially grateful to every person who took the time to share generously their work, projects and insights with the group, helping turn the exploration into a practical and highly valuable exchange for our members and partners: Pierre-Antoine Beaudoin Marissa P. Brian Paquelet Wuetz Mikel Diez Parra Carlos Abellan Vanesa Diaz Victor Canivell Carlos Kuchkovsky Aura Llanas Ismael Almazan José Miguel Herrero Júlia Masvidal Andreu What makes the Exploration Program unique is not the size of the audience, but the depth of the dialogue. By bringing together a curated group of corporate leaders and frontier innovators, the program enables strategic learning, trusted exchanges and early insight into technologies shaping the next decade. A strong start for the Next-Generation Compute Exploration Program, and the beginning of a journey that will continue across ecosystems and technologies in the months ahead. The next gathering will take place in Stockholm on March 18–19, alongside the Nordic Space & Defense Summit, where the focus will shift to next-gen communication and cyber defense. Another step in exploring the technologies shaping the next decade. I’m truly happy, satisfied and exhausted after our first expedition to Barcelona and 4YFN/MWC. And deeply grateful to all you people who received us, shared your experience and insights, and made us all much more knowledgeable about when and where quantum will take us. I promised several of you that we will come up with a way to keep you involved in our Next Gen Compute program and will be back shortly on that. Thank you all!
It’s been a pleasure! Let’s keep the conversation going!
A great first expedition in the first DTA program on Next Gen Compute, in the first edition of a DTA Exploration program - a completely new format where we target Corporate employees in roles looking 8-12 years from now. At this expedition we focused on Quantum and learnt a lot! Thank you to our corporate delegates in the Next Gen Compute program and not the least to all amazing people in Barcelona who helped us make this a fantastic experience. And thank you Natalia and Jakob for a very well organized and executed expedition!
