Williamson County recently celebrated the completion of the Sam Bass Road widening project in Round Rock, improving mobility, safety, and connectivity for one of the area’s heavily traveled corridors. CobbFendley is proud to have supported this project by providing Utility Coordination, Design, and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services alongside our project partners. The reconstructed corridor now includes roadway widening, intersection improvements, and a shared-use path for pedestrians and cyclists to support the region’s continued growth. Congratulations to Williamson County, the City of Round Rock, and the entire project team on this milestone project! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g_cHizGV

We’re thrilled that the inaugural issue of North Star Engineer, a publication from the American Council of Engineering Companies Minnesota (ACEC MN), features not one, but two, award-winning Barr projects! The magazine’s cover and main article showcase the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Twin Ports Interchange project (photo shows Barr staff members working at the construction site) in Duluth, where Barr’s geotechnical engineers designed a column-support embankment system to support roadway and infrastructure construction. Read about our work here: https://lnkd.in/gWbGkyaH. In addition, the magazine’s “April Showers” article spotlights the Towerside stormwater management system (photo shows a water feature at the base of an apartment building ). Barr helped the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization plan, design, and construct this district-scale system, which enables multiple property developers to manage runoff jointly. A description of our work on the project can be found at https://lnkd.in/grzFX3sY. Read more from the inaugural issue: https://lnkd.in/gQchdy8C.
