Our team attended the first Healthed Australia conference of 2026 focused on Women’s & Children’s Health at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre with over 2,500+ clinicians in attendance. A year ago, conversations around AI in general practice felt cautious, even skeptical. Now what we are seeing is Openness. Curiosity. A real willingness to try. What stood out most was the depth of feedback from GPs already using AI scribes. Many had tried multiple tools. Some impressed, some didn’t make the cut. But that experimentation mindset is exactly what’s driving this shift. The real insights don’t come from dashboards, they come from conferences like these and speaking to clinicians face to face as we continue to evolve Astra Health AI. #AstraHealth #HealthTech #DigitalHealth #GPs #MedicalAI #ClinicalInnovation #PrimaryCare #Healthed

Today I'm stepping away from client work to invest in something I care deeply about — attending AI in Accessibility: Separating Hype from Reality. As a Senior Change Management Consultant working at the intersection of healthcare informatics and accessibility adoption, I see firsthand how quickly AI is being positioned as a silver bullet for inclusion. The reality, as always, is more nuanced. I'm looking forward to cutting through the noise and getting grounded in what AI can genuinely deliver for accessibility — and where the gaps still exist. For those of us guiding healthcare organizations through digital transformation, getting this right isn't just a nice-to-have. It's a matter of equitable access to care. More reflections to come after today's discussion. If you're working at this intersection too, I'd love to connect. #Accessibility #HealthcareIT #AIinHealthcare #ChangeManagement #DigitalInclusion

Closing the $1 Trillion Health Gap The digital health community is confronting a stark reality: women’s health represents a $1 trillion economic opportunity, yet it still captures only 6% of private healthcare investment. This week’s reading list highlights a global call to move beyond treating women’s health as a "niche" category and instead financing it as foundational economic infrastructure. From Emory University’s breakthrough in using AI to spot heart disease during routine mammograms to the AMA’s report on the doubling of physician AI use since 2023, the theme this week is "Representative by Design". We are finally seeing technology used to bridge the sex-disaggregated data gaps that have historically undermined safety and effectiveness. Here is what is on my radar this week: 1️⃣ The $1 Trillion Imperative: Leaders' call to correct systemic bias in research and funding. https://lnkd.in/emN8KwxE 2️⃣ Dual-Purpose Screening: How AI spots heart disease in routine breast mammograms. https://lnkd.in/eAERKYMK 3️⃣ The Interoperability Engine: Why 2026 marks the shift from pilots to large-scale implementation. https://lnkd.in/eRqKpNk3 4️⃣ Physicians & AI: Use cases have doubled, but concerns over "skill loss" and privacy remain. https://lnkd.in/ehpE9GFe 5️⃣ The Digital Dilemma: Balancing rapid innovation with clinician bandwidth and usability. https://lnkd.in/eJi3GFe4 💡 Lecturer’s Perspective: I often tell my students: "Bias in research doesn’t stay in the lab; it travels downstream into every diagnosis and treatment." Correcting this isn't just a moral goal—it’s a requirement for good science. When we move away from the "reference man" default and use AI to capture biological realities, we aren't just helping women; we are building a more resilient global economy. #Deep_Dive Day 5 — AI and Health Equity AI can be a powerful accelerator in health. But it can also deepen existing inequities if we are not careful. Who is represented in the data? Who has access to the tools? Who benefits first? Who is left behind? These are not side questions. They are central questions. In NCD prevention and control, equity must be designed in from the beginning. That means considering low-resource settings, vulnerable populations, language barriers, digital access, health literacy, and the realities of overstretched systems. Innovation that improves outcomes only for those already best served is not enough. Public health demands that we ask who else must benefit. Share this with a colleague working on health equity. #Deep_Dive #AIinPublicHealth #DigitalHealth #HealthEquity
