Following on from our recent collaboration with Utility Week creating the latest UK Utilities Risk Report for 2026, I had the pleasure of attending the Utility Week Live event at the NEC. One of the key highlights was the speaker session on 'Unlocking potential of the front-line workforce for a resilient future', led by National Grid, Thames Water and British Water. Key topics discussed were the struggle for talent, trying to bridge the skills gap and a shift towards inclusive hiring. Another memorable moment was connecting with Emma Ford from WUN - Womens Utilities Network and the efforts being made to encourage women into this mainly male dominated industry. For those of you who haven't had a chance to read the report which covers all the top Utilities risks from Cyber to People Risk, you can access it here: https://lnkd.in/eAg8Y6aU Sam Wallace Carl Ratcliffe #UtilityWeekLive2026 #TalentAttraction #InclusiveHiring #EmployeeValueProposition #DEI #Mercer #Marsh #Skills
