MIMO technology is one of the biggest reasons modern wireless networks are faster and more efficient. Instead of using a single path to transmit data, MIMO uses multiple antennas to send and receive several data streams simultaneously. The result? • Higher speeds • Better coverage • More network capacity • Stronger and more reliable connections A core technology powering 4G LTE, 5G NR, and modern Wi-Fi systems. #MIMO #5G #Telecom #Wireless #Networking

Imagine your smartphone working seamlessly whether you're in downtown Dallas or the middle of the Pacific Ocean - that's the power of 6G non-terrestrial networks. The engineering challenges are incredible: satellites must handle signals traveling thousands of kilometers, operate on minimal power for years without maintenance, and use massive antenna arrays with thousands of elements to precisely beam data across Earth. My TI colleagues share how next-generation RF transceivers are making seamless Earth-to-space connectivity a reality. And the future is closer than you think! 🌍 #TIer

The connectivity paradigms that shaped 5G are not enough for 6G. Massive machine-type communications and ultrareliable low-latency communications emerged as foundational paradigms in the 5G era. This article examines how both are expected to evolve within 6G wireless systems. https://bit.ly/4sYfc1R Anders E. Investing in new access points is ineffective without understanding RF spectrum. WiFi 7 redefines how devices use airspace with Multi-Link Operation (MLO). MLO enables simultaneous use of multiple bands, reducing bottlenecks in peak traffic. With 320 MHz channels and 4K-QAM, it lowers jitter and supports real-time collaboration in dense environments. As you plan your 2026 refresh, when will legacy 2.4 GHz networks be phased out? #WiFi7 #DigitalInfrastructure #IntelligentWorkplace #NetworkEngineering #Connect21 #SmartBuildings #Cisco

#ThrowbackThursday to Satellite 2025: 6G Connectivity Back at SATELLITE 2025, Square Peg's President & Co-Founder Michael Gertsman moderated "The Path to Realizing Satellite-Enabled 6G Connectivity" — one of the conference's most forward-looking panels. The discussion tackled the big questions about the future of 6G connectivity. So one year later, where do we stand? - How close are we to making 6G a reality? - What does it take to emulate 6G connectivity today? - Where do Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) fit in? - What tools can we use to emulate 5G and 6G NTN? The answers? If you're working on 6G integration, NTN solutions or satellite-enabled connectivity, Square Peg can help. Reach out to turn your 6G NTN ideas into reality. 👇 https://lnkd.in/gbeEQXxB #6G #NTN #Satellite #SquarePeg #6GNTN #TBT #SATCOM #emulation #test #5G

Massive MIMO in 5G: Evolution from 4×4 LTE to 64T64R Antenna Systems: Increasing the antenna count from 8 to 64 in a Massive MIMO system gives major performance improvements. More antennas allow stronger and more focused beamforming. The signal energy is directed toward users instead of spreading everywhere. This creates about 18 dB beamforming gain, meaning a much stronger and more efficient signal. Massive MIMO also supports multiple users and multiple data streams simultaneously on the same frequency. As a result, network capacity can increase by about 5 times. In simple terms: More antennas in 5G mean stronger signals, better coverage, less interference, and much higher network capacity without needing extra spectrum.
