"I'm on cancer time." - Kristen Dahlgren, Founder/CEO, Cancer Vaccine Coalition This statement hit me hard - thank you, Kristen, for the powerful reminder of why time is of the essence in the work that we do as drivers of innovation in healthcare. I met Kristen at lunch right before her panel & am grateful for our (coincidental - are there any coincidences?) connection at the Power of X, Women's Health Innovation Summit at Cure. NYC March 19, 2026.
What a stunning reminder that time shouldn’t be taken for granted granted. After losing my oldest son to a sarcoma that killed him exactly 6 months after his diagnosis I know this to be true. It lives in my nervous system like nothing else can. Many of us don’t really accept the finitude of our days until they have lived with cancer or through cancer with a loved one
Loved meeting you Delphine O'Rourke, JD !!
This sentence also stayed with me! Anyone living in the “after” of a diagnosis - whether with metastatic disease or in survivorship - understands how differently time can feel.
