Had a great time moderating the tokenisation panel at the first Association for Promotion of Financial Innovative Technologies Forum in Tbilisi last week takeaways that shaped our conversation : Compliance is not optional , it is the foundation. Tokenization only creates value if the underlying asset is real, verified, and legally sound. Investor confidence depends entirely on the integrity of what sits behind the token. Blockchain-based distribution can structurally expand Georgia's capital markets. Today, access to institutional-grade financial instruments in Georgia is constrained by geography, and limited distribution infrastructure. On-chain issuance and distribution removes those constraints opening primary markets to a broader investor base and increasing capital formation across the economy . Tokenized equities are gaining momentum, but their role is evolving. Beyond access, the longer-term opportunity lies in utility. In traditional markets, participants can see total available depth before executing. In crypto, depth is scattered and opaque. You don't know what liquidity exists across all venues until after you've tried to access it. Transparency matters for institutional execution.
