The team behind our HUSAT programme, colleagues from HDT - Hungaro DigiTel, Remred and 4iG Space and Defence Technologies, spent last week at the SSC Space Course, hosted by SSC Space at their Esrange Space Center near Kiruna, above the Arctic Circle (4–8 May 2026). The week-long intensive programme covered the operational backbone of space systems: flight dynamics, mission operations, satellite command and control, cybersecurity, and CONOPS methodology. Beyond the lectures, delivered by 15 SSC experts, the team got a close look at the IT and telecommunications infrastructure behind orbital operations, the assembly and test facilities supporting SSC Space's suborbital launches, and the day-to-day work of a ground station operations team responsible for hundreds of satellites in orbit. A genuinely valuable week, both in technical depth and in the chance to observe an experienced operator at work.
