The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on Vice President of Human Resources to help strengthen and scale the people infrastructure of a growing, multi-location field services organization. This role will serve as the senior HR leader and strategic partner to executive leadership, driving organizational consistency, manager effectiveness, employee engagement, and operational discipline across a geographically dispersed workforce.

The organization is at a key stage of growth and operational evolution, requiring a leader who can bring structure, accountability, and consistency to core people practices while supporting a fast-paced, field-driven environment. This individual will partner closely with operations leadership to strengthen frontline leadership capability, improve retention, enhance onboarding and training, and build a more scalable employee experience across multiple locations.

This is not a traditional corporate HR role. Success in this position requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, relationship-building, and change management. The VP of HR will play a critical role in improving manager accountability, workforce planning, recruiting effectiveness, communication rhythms, performance management, and overall organizational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting operational or field-based organizations with distributed teams and understands how workforce stability, training, leadership consistency, and employee engagement directly impact customer experience and business performance.

Spanish language proficiency is strongly preferred due to the composition of the workforce across multiple locations.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, managers, and employees across multiple business units and locations.
  • Partner closely with operational leaders to strengthen communication, accountability, employee engagement, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Lead employee relations matters, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and performance-related discussions with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Coach managers on leadership behaviors, difficult conversations, employee development, and performance management best practices.
  • Help foster a culture of accountability, trust, consistency, and operational excellence.

Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning & Onboarding

  • Partner with leadership to develop workforce plans aligned with operational goals, growth initiatives, and business needs.
  • Oversee and improve recruiting, onboarding, and hiring processes to create a more consistent and scalable candidate and employee experience.
  • Develop stronger hiring manager capability through interview training, hiring process consistency, and selection best practices.
  • Drive initiatives focused on improving retention, reducing turnover, and stabilizing frontline workforce performance.
  • Support onboarding and training strategies that improve early employee engagement and time-to-productivity.

Training, Development & Performance Management

  • Build and support scalable manager and employee development initiatives across the organization.
  • Help establish structured training programs, onboarding tools, SOPs, leadership development content, and learning resources.
  • Partner with operations leadership to strengthen frontline manager capability, coaching effectiveness, and employee communication practices.
  • Lead and improve the performance management process, including review cadence, goal alignment, manager coaching, and accountability practices.
  • Support talent review, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives that strengthen leadership capability and workforce stability.

HR Operations, Compliance & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across all locations.
  • Maintain and enhance HR policies, employee handbooks, procedures, and compliance-related processes.
  • Partner with leadership to improve organizational structure, communication rhythms, and operational consistency across teams.
  • Effectively oversee workplace safety initiatives, compliance practices, workers’ compensation coordination, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Support payroll, leave administration, benefits coordination, and employee records processes while improving consistency and operational discipline.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR operations, improve systems utilization, and reduce administrative inefficiencies.

Compensation, Analytics & Business Partnership

  • Partner with leadership on compensation strategy, workforce planning, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce metrics including turnover, retention, engagement, hiring trends, and organizational effectiveness to support business decision-making.
  • Utilize employee feedback, exit trends, and operational data to identify areas of improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Help drive greater visibility, accountability, and structure through reporting, project tracking, and operational follow-through.
  • Support organizational growth initiatives, change management efforts, and future integration activity as the business continues to scale.

What We’re Looking For
