At today's Trauma Survivor Day celebration, patients returned to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial and Jackson South to reconnect with the doctors, nurses, and care teams who walked with them through their hardest days. Their stories of healing, gratitude, and hope reminded everyone in the room why this work matters. We are honored to celebrate every survivor, their families, and the teams who help make recovery possible every single day. #TraumaSurvivorDay

Jackson Health System reposted this
We’re partnering with Jackson Health System to launch the Health Science Collegiate Academy in Miami’s Health District. Starting in August 2027, this Academy will enable high school students to take college-level coursework while getting early exposure to clinical environments and healthcare careers at Jackson and beyond. This model builds on a long-standing partnership with Jackson and other healthcare leaders to create clearer, earlier pathways into the health workforce for our local talent. It allows us to grow our very own local talent, invest in them early, and keep them here to help continue building Miami into a world-class leader in healthcare.

Inspiring the next generation of healthcare leaders. 🌟 Jackson Health System was proud to welcome Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida to Miami Transplant Institute for a Careers in Healthcare Day, where they got an inside look at careers in transplant care, went hands-on with kidneys and organ perfusion machines, and heard about chasing their dreams in medicine. A huge thank you to our incredible speakers, Dr. Jennifer Garcia, medical director of pediatric liver and pediatric/adult intestine transplant, Rachel De Pons, associate director of organ placement and preservation, and Raquel Avellar MSN, RN, director of patient care services for the lung center and transplant donor desk, along with the entire MTI team, who brought this meaningful experience to life. #JacksonHealthSystem #MiamiTransplantInstitute #CareersInHealthcare
