Position Overview
We are looking to speak with analytical, forward-thinking Risk & Fraud Strategy Consultants for a potential long term consulting engagement with a high-growth Financial Services client. Based in the Charlotte Metro area, this role is ideal for a professional with 3 to 5 years of financial services experience who can blend deep domain knowledge of fraud risk, underwriting, and financial management with advanced predictive data frameworks.
In this role, you will have an opportunity to sit at the intersection of risk policy engineering and data science, utilizing an iterative "test-and-learn" methodology to mitigate institutional risk while optimizing member life-time valuations for high-profile consumer financial products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and refine comprehensive credit and fraud risk policies.
- Continually evaluate financial risk exposures to build robust mitigation frameworks that protect both the institution and its members.
- Act as a critical interface between technical modeling teams and business decision-makers, translating complex data outputs into clear strategic rules and dynamic policies.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of progressive experience within Financial Services and/or banking in fraud risk management
- Proven foundational knowledge of automated underwriting workflows, fraud risk management principles, and consumer financial risk modeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills; a natural tendency to question assumptions and use empirical data to validate hypotheses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate complex risk methodologies to stakeholders and collaborate seamlessly within matrixed, agile project teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the self-discipline to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
