  • Today, we celebrate 33 years of Sure Steel. Since 1993, this company has been built by people who show up, take ownership, and do the work the right way—day in and day out. What makes Sure Steel what it is isn’t a logo or a milestone. It’s the crews in the field, the teams behind the scenes, and the partners and clients who trust us to deliver when it matters most. After 33 years, that trust is something we don’t take lightly. To our employees, partners, clients, and families—thank you for being part of this journey. We’re grateful for where we’ve been, proud of what we’ve built together, and excited for what’s ahead. Here’s to 33 years—and to continuing to build it better, together. #SureSteel #33YearsStrong #ConnectMore

  • At Sure Steel, safety isn’t improvised—it’s engineered. Temporary bracing is one of the most critical controls in steel erection. Every column, beam, and connection relies on stability long before the structure is complete. That’s why we don’t leave it to chance. Our approach to engineered temporary bracing plans includes: ✔️ Site-specific engineering and sequencing ✔️ Integration with lift planning and erection methods ✔️ Clear field communication and verification ✔️ Continuous monitoring as conditions change From the first pick to final bolt-up, we ensure every structure is stable at every stage. Because Zero Harm starts with a solid foundation—temporary or permanent. #SureSteel #ConstructionSafetyWeek #ConnectMore

  • At Sure Steel, safety is not something we save for the field — it's how we begin every conversation. Every meeting, training session, and operational discussion starts with a Safety Share: a brief, intentional moment to discuss a real hazard, lesson learned, best practice, or personal safety reminder. This simple practice reinforces a powerful message: safety is always first. By starting with safety, we keep awareness high, encourage open communication, and remind every team member that preventing injuries begins before the work starts. At Sure Steel, Safety Shares help turn everyday conversations into opportunities to protect our people, strengthen our culture, and support our commitment to Zero Harm. Sure Steel Inc. — Building safely starts with talking safely. #SureSteel #ConstructionSafetyWeek #ConnectMore

  • At Sure Steel, our success is measured by our clients’ ability to deliver without hesitation. That is why partnerships like the one we share with Southwest Airlines mean so much. Seeing our BWI Airport hangar support the unveiling of “Independence One,” honoring the United States’ 250th Anniversary, is a reminder of what predictable outcomes make possible. We build environments where execution holds, decisions carry through, and our partners can move forward with confidence when it matters most. #SureSteel #ConnectMore

On October 6th, 2025 we officially broke ground on the CHY3-5 project. 207 days later (26 of which were weather-impacted days, but who is counting...), Sure Steel, Inc. hung the final steel kits on CHY5! Moving safely and efficiently at such an insane pace is 100% because of the amazing team we have out here in Cheyenne. Everybody from trade partners to designers to Meta is bought in to the vision and it is mind blowing to see it all come together so seamlessly thus far. Extra shoutout to our Mortenson team below. This group's ability to develop plans, make work ready, clear roadblocks, build relationships, relentlessly manage a schedule, and execute in the field is unlike anything I have seen before. The cohesiveness and camaraderie between our office and self-perform crews leads to a ton of laughs and makes me genuinely excited to come to site each day. Could not hand pick a better group of individuals! By the way: traditional topping-out trees are cool and all, but beam murals showcasing the best parts about Wyoming are the new way to go.

  • As we continue celebrating Women in Construction Week, we’re excited to spotlight a member of our Estimating team. Meet Andrea, who began her journey at Sure Steel in January. We asked Andrea what excites her most about being part of the construction industry: "What excites me most about being part of the construction industry is seeing projects move from concept to reality. In steel construction, we're literally building the structural backbone of facilities that communities rely on. As an estimator, I enjoy the challenge of analyzing plans. It's rewarding to know that strong estimating helps set a project up for success before it ever breaks ground."   #WomenInConstructionWeek #SureSteel #ConnectMore

  • As we continue celebrating Women in Construction Week, we’re excited to introduce a member of our preconstruction team.   Meet Luiza, a Production Manager based in Salt Lake City. When asked what leading production on a construction project means to her, Luiza explained: "To me, leading production on a construction project means creating structure, clarity, and accountability from start to finish. It looks like coordinating people, processes, and timelines so that everything moves safely, efficiently, and with quality at the forefront. Leadership in production also means supporting the team, solving problems quickly, and making sure communication stays strong between departments so we can successfully deliver what we promise. Ultimately, it’s about setting the standard and leading by example."   #WomenInConstructionWeek #SureSteel #ConnectMore
