Responsibilities
This position is for a clinic manager and coordinator dedicated to a new multiple disciplinary clinic focused on addressing the needs and care for patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Works with director for recruiting, hiring, and coordination of training team members and staff members.
Works with administration to help with interdepartmental contracts to secure services of multiple disciplinary team members.
Helps with collecting and updating multiple disciplinary team members' CVs for application and review process of the ALS association for the clinic to become a Treatment Center of Excellence.
Works with medical director on setting schedule for clinic.
Works with nursing to disseminate information and schedules to full clinic team a week prior to clinic.
Ensures if clinic is closed or cancelled team members are notified at least one week ahead of scheduled clinic.
Works along with medical director to ensure cross coverage of full clinic team so alternative provider or team member is present if primary member has taken time off.
Designs and implements business strategies to help the clinic meet organizational goals and ALS association requirements with working the clinic towards a Treatment Center of Excellence.
Works with team and medical director in quality improvement, continuing education, and regular evaluation.
Helps manage staff and assign or delegate tasks as needed.
Acts as a liaison between patients, their families and clinic team members and clinic staff.
Helps with marketing and community outreach Kelly Butler ALS Center.
Helps plan and manage clinic budget and approves payroll along with director for clinic staff.
Works with medical director to ensure monthly forms and FOAPAL submitted for budget requirements for state earmark that helps fund the clinic.
Ensures documentation and billing are correctly submitted by team members.
Ensures that policies and procedures function in accordance with state and federal laws.
Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
Regular and prompt attendance
Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
Related duties as assigned
Additional Information
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field and 5 years of experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting, Required
Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
