National Account Manager
What will you do? Make an impact!
As a National Account Manager, you will drive revenue growth by actively hunting for new opportunities and cultivating strong relationships with top-tier corporate accounts. Working closely with the Director of Sales, you will align your strategies with company goals and collaborate with internal teams—regional account managers, customer service, technical teams, and operations—to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers.
This position focuses on both cultivating relationships with existing customers as well as identifying and securing new business. It offers the flexibility of a home-based role with 50% travel, giving you the chance to engage directly with customers and make a lasting impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive national account growth, aligning with company initiatives and working closely with the Director of Sales to achieve goals.
New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities with target corporate accounts while maintaining and growing existing relationships.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key leadership, including buyers, accounts payable, EHS, and regulatory teams, to foster long-term partnerships.
Contract Negotiation & Service Agreements: Lead the establishment and execution of Master Service Agreements with new and existing corporate accounts, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company objectives.
Value Proposition Presentation: Articulate and present the full range of services and company value proposition to key decision-makers and influencers, driving customer growth and satisfaction.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate strategic account penetration by leveraging the efforts of the sales team, Customer Service, Regional Sales Managers, and Account Managers to ensure cohesive communication and targeted outreach.
Industry Expertise & Representation: Provide guidance on regulatory and service-related matters, represent the company at trade shows, and actively contribute to industry thought leadership.
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience in the environmental services industry will be considered. At least 5-7 years of industry experience with 5 years in a direct sales role, including travel.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the skill to clearly present and articulate the company’s value proposition to drive customer growth.
- Must be willing and able to travel extensively across the U.S. for sales calls with both current and prospective customers.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while achieving goals.
