We are seeking a skilled and experienced Librarians to join our team!
The Librarian is responsible for administering library operations and providing a wide range of library services to support the informational, educational, and research needs of patrons. This role works in diverse settings, including public libraries, educational institutions, museums, corporations, government agencies, law firms, non-profit organizations, and healthcare providers. The Librarian manages library collections, provides reference and research assistance, and ensures efficient access to information resources through various formats and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and manage library operations, services, and resources.
Select, acquire, catalog, classify, and maintain library materials in various formats.
Provide reference, bibliographical, and readers’ advisory services to library users.
Conduct in-depth research, synthesize and analyze information, and prepare reports or summaries for patrons or organizational needs.
Develop, implement, and maintain databases and information systems to organize, catalog, and provide access to library resources.
Assist users in locating, accessing, and utilizing library and information resources effectively.
Plan and coordinate special programs, events, or training sessions to support learning and research.
Maintain records of library activities, circulation, and resource usage.
Collaborate with other librarians, staff, and departments to enhance library services and information access.
Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and trends in information management and library services.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) or equivalent from an accredited program.
Experience working in libraries, information centers, or research institutions.
Knowledge of cataloging, classification systems, and library management practices.
Strong research, analytical, and information synthesis skills.
Proficiency with library databases, digital resources, and information systems.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and user requests effectively.
