Information Technology Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications, APIs, and batch processes using Python

• Design database schemas and implement/tune SQL for RDBMS (e.g., Amazon RDS/Aurora, MS/SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Build and operate systems on AWS (e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch)

• Design for high availability and reliability in 24/7 environments (redundancy, health checks, monitoring, alerting, backup and recovery).

• Perform incident response: initial investigation, recovery, root cause analysis, and implementation of permanent fixes.

• Execute regular maintenance (patching, releases, performance testing).

• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, operations, and business teams.

• Based on changes in the business work environment, job responsibilities can change, and removed accordingly. Additionally, this position will perform other duties as required, and participate in special projects as deemed necessary and appropriate by Management.

Skills & Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on full stack Angular/Python development experience in web application/backend systems.

• Experience with RDBMS (MS SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL Server, etc.): schema and index design, SQL implementation and performance tuning.

• Experience working in Linux environments (basic commands, log investigation).

• Practical experience with or strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

• Experience with or understanding system monitoring tools (CloudWatch).

• Experience with or understanding of source code management, such as TFS/DevOps.

• Willingness and ability to support 24/7 systems on-call rotation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Office products.

• Must be versatile, able to work effectively independently or as part of a team on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Flexible to work beyond regular office hours at times based on business needs.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $80K-$95K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
