Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Position: Family Peer Advocate - Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY: The Family Peer Advocate is responsible for the delivery of direct services for the Family Support Program. The Family Peer Advocate will provide an array of formal and informal services and supports provided to families caring for/raising a child who is experiencing social, emotional, developmental, medical, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges in their home, school, placement, and/or community. The service is needed to allow the child the best opportunity to remain in the community. Activities included must be intended to achieve the identified goals or objectives as set forth in the child/youth’s treatment plan.

Pay And Benefits

  • 3 weeks of paid time off your first year, not including an additional 13 agency holidays.

  • Flexible Monday - Friday schedule, with some day and evening availability required.

Minimum Education and/or Professional Qualifications/Skills

  • Applicant must have personal experience raising a child, or someone else's child, with a mental health or behavioral challenge. During that time you must have used several systems like SPOA, counseling, care management, psychiatric in-patient, and/or Family Peer Support or other Child and Family Treatment Support Services to assist that child. Preference given to those with a FPA credential or CPRA credential with Family Specialty(required)
  • A high school diploma, high school equivalency preferred or a State Education Commencement Credential (e.g. SACC or CDOS).
  • A drivers license(required)
