Bell Ford is hiring an Experienced Main Line Automotive Technician to join our high‑volume, well‑established Ford service department. We’re looking for a skilled, motivated technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to maximize earning potential in a fast‑paced environment with consistent workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair Ford vehicles, including engine, transmission, drivability, electrical, and HVAC systems
Utilize factory scan tools and service information to accurately identify vehicle concerns
Complete warranty repairs in accordance with Ford policies and procedures
Perform customer‑pay repairs efficiently with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
Stay current with Ford technology and vehicle systems, including hybrid and EV platforms (if applicable)
Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding diagnostics, recommended repairs, and timelines
Provide repair explanations that support customer trust and repair approval
Work collaboratively with fellow technicians, shop foremen, and management
Maintain strong flagged hours and productivity in a high‑volume shop environment
Properly manage time and prioritize multiple repair orders
Follow dealership workflow processes to meet repair deadlines
Conduct road tests and final inspections as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and dealership standards
Uphold dealership standards for professionalism, attendance, and teamwork
Qualifications
3+ years of main line or advanced automotive technician experience
Prior Ford dealership experience preferred
Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical skills
ASE certifications are a plus
Must provide own tools
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Ability to multitask in a high‑volume shop environment
